Steemit: The Future Google, Facebook, Paypal, Quora, Reddit ALL-IN-ONE

Try to imagine a home page with all of the functionality of messaging, shopping, remittance, searching, blogging and socializing, beautiful isn't it!? This is the potential I see with Steemit. 

This may sound a little 'out there' right now, but in time, Steemit has the potential to replace Google as your home page. In a few years, Google will seem like something from back in the days of when we were all restricted to using AOL, and we’ll be wondering how we ever got by with it’s limited functionality.   

Let me tell you how I see Steemit in the future. . .  Steemit has only just been born and already people are finding the function of what it provides useful, fun and profitable. But this is just the beginning, remember what Facebook was like in the beginning?? The way the platform is put together, it only stands to attract users form all kinds of different areas; bloggers, artists, photographers, philosophers, florists, Everybody! Now if you had the option to post on your usual website and get nothing in return for your contribution, such as Quora or Reddit, discussing issues giving your opinion on people’s problems situations and input into discussions, oryou had the option to do the same thing on a platform that could potentially pay you for your contribution, which one would you use?  

Exactly. 

Currently, people use different websites, blogs, search engines, forums etc. to search for different conversations, topics opinions, experiences and just general information.

With the ever growing amount of new users from all these different platforms, sectors and backgrounds, and as the user base grows exponentially, the content and discussion will become ever more rich, vast and diverse. It could end up being the go-to place to have discussions, talking with friends, creating forums etc. as people are financially incentivized to give thoughtful comments and discussions.   What I am getting at here is that Steemit has the potential to be something like we have never seen before, even more so than what it is now. Steemit has the potential to pull in entire communities from other social networks, websites and forums like black holes attract mass as the Network Effect grows and as people become more aware of this amazing and groundbreaking service. Steemit is doing to social networks as what Bitcoin is doing for money, thinking outside the box, and then turning it inside out!    

BUT!! Here is how Steemit could really get going, and I really do mean like something we have not ever seen before!! 

With Steemit’s own search engine where you could search Steemit or Google, why would you need to use Google as your home page.  If Steem dollars are to be accepted as a form of payment and a remittance service also between your friends and family, why would you need to use Paypal or a bank transfer?  If popular shopping sites such as Amazon and Ebay were to adopt Bitcoin/Steem in the future, why would you need to use your credit card? Ok so maybe I’m being a little too optimistic by saying they will accept Steem Dollars, but if the merchant had BitPay in place, I’m sure there could be a way to pay with Steem using an integrated converter, converting your Steem into  Bitcoin to pay through BitPay with just one click of your mouse. The same thing goes for sending birthday cards, need to send a card to your pal with Moonpig.com? Why use your credit card when you can use the integrated currency of the platform and send to someone on Steemit from your home page?  

So you see, in my mind,what Steemit has the potential to offer is basically the natural progression of how the Internet is evolving, bringing together social networking, remittance, forums and shopping, all in one place on a decentralized platform in a social environment where there is mutual respect for one another and where being constructive is encouraged. A place where I think Steemit will Steem it's way to. . .
