Single Comment Worth 48$
It is sometimes surprizes me how single comment on hot topic can earn you sooo much.
I am of course happy on this 48$ worth comment, YET, I am sad because sometimes I can invest hours on writing article and get few votes...
It is so awkward, I hope it will change...
I believe the right thing is to show randomly low rating comments and posts, so not only whales get noticed...

It really depends on who notices your posts. If you're not noticed by a bunch of people (or a couple really famous people), your posts won't get the super huge blowouts.
That said, I've been on sites similar to Steemit before. Tsu was a lot like this, and they would pay out part of their ad revenue to their users. I tried to make posts that would get me a lot of money, only to fall flat. It took me a while to realize that the Field of Dreams quote "if you build it, they will come" was far more relevant than I had originally realized. I started networking with people, interacting with them, and found my overall revenues going up as a result.
So what's the takeaway in all this? Make friends, build relationships, and the wealth will follow suit.
