INTRODUCE YOURSELF: Enter My Twisted Mind

Hi steemians!! I am so excited and petrified at the same time. 

Honestly, I don’t know where to begin. I don’t even know why. 

But let me start by telling you what's going on inside my twisted mind right now.

Why is it hard to introduce yourself, when you have done it several times! 

Why is it hard now when you’ve mastered answering that "tell me something about yourself question" during your job interviews?

Why is it hard when you’re good at meeting new people and it seems that it is easy for you to get a long and find connection with them?   

Now, let me try to find the answer to those questions.  

Perhaps I am having a hard time now because I never honestly introduced the real me. Perhaps because I am afraid that people will judge.  Perhaps I’m afraid that people will not like me for who I really am.  Perhaps I don’t even know the real me. Geeeez!!! 

Here’s the generic way of introducing myself.

  Hi, I’m Chesca Roxas, born and raised in Makati, Philippines.

 I used to work in a BPO industry  but now I am a stay-at-home-mom of two wonderful daughters.

I am a foodie.. I enjoy and pretty much crave for food most of the time. 

I used to love cooking but lost interest somehow, but that didn't stopped me from eating.

So now, what I do is to try different restaurants and try different foods that they offer and take pictures of it. LOL

I also enjoy listening to music, but I don’t just listen to it, I always find myself searching for the lyrics and try to understand and relate to it. I sometimes feel that those words are written just for me. 

That’s how I usually introduce myself.

I guess I'm just like the rest of us every time we introduce ourselves, we only provide what's superficial at first. I have a hard shell and I don’t just let anybody in but I want to use this opportunity to freely and fiercely express my thoughts without being afraid that people may not like me or think I’m weak or be afraid that people will judge me! 

What to expect?

Please join me in my journey for I will let you all inside my heart and my head as I rediscover myself.  Expect that I will be talking about my kids, about the personal struggles, joy and experiences of being a mom. Expect that I will be talking about food, health and weight loss.  Expect that it will be from anything and everything that crosses my twisted mind.
