Thailand On My Mind - Beach Wednesday
Today it is beach Wednesday and I wanted to share my favorite travel destination, which is Thailand. Whenever I go to there I feel like I jumped into a postcard. The beauty is surreal; the colors are more vibrant, the taste of the the spicy food is to die for, the sand between the toes when you walk on the beach is like massage for the soul.
Whenever I leave Thailand it feels like it's just temporary, because in the end the longing gets too strong, and before I know it I have booked a new trip to my favorite destination. I think travel destinations also have the phenomenon of love at first sight - I love Thailand.
Thailand is also a special place to me because I had my honeymoon there. It was my first time when my wife visited a truly tropical place. We arrived at night and the trip started off quite sketchy. At the airport the taxi drivers told me a quite expensive price to go to our hotel. They also said they would only be able to drive us to the harbor then we would have to take the boat. I couldn't believe my ears.. They explained, that for the final stretch, we could only get to our destination by boat.
So we arrive at 1 am at the harbor. There is only one guy sitting there. We say we need a ride. The price he offers is even more expensive then the taxi drive. I tell him it's too much. We argued for a while but didn't get anywhere, and I wasn't about to start swimming there. So in the end he said he would flip me for it.
If I won I would get a cheaper price if he won the price stayed the same. I won and away we went. We fell asleep very quickly and in the morning I wasn't looking at the stunning environment, I was looking at my wife soaking in the beautiful nature. I know she was now also in love with Thailand.

Hehe well what can I say, she brings out the romantic side of me :) yes the ocean there has some similar tones like your drawing ! I have never seen a dolphin in the wild yet, I have wanted to see it so many times... But I haven't been lucky enough. Have you seen dolphins in real life ?
Yeah over one of the Bahamas's keys, I swam with three that were kept in a little island bay....back in 1985....

You are absolutely right. That's why first impressions are so important. The association will always be rooted in the back of the head, weather its a good or bad experience.

Nice, I was in Thailand in 1997 with my ex-girlfriend who is Thai. That was a great experience. Living in Costa Rica is pretty much the same beach and nature wise except for the culture.

I am certainly here for the long run as far as I can tell now. Only time can tell but I am confident that i found a home here. On the other hand technology evolves faster than we can comprehend already and it will speed up exponentially during the next years. So who can say where the road goes - as Enya would say...

Technology is moving really fast these days. But atleast we know about the block chain technology and have a small advantage, because I would say that 90 percent of my friends have no clue what it is.
