Shanghai Long Boat
Today is @juliank 's #vehiclephotography challenge and I wanted to share with you a boat I saw last time when I was taking a photo of the famous Shanghai Bund. It's probably one of the longest boats of the kind that I have seen. They use these boats for heavy loads, such as construction material. I guess there is a need for them to be so big considering all the buildings in the background.
As I was standing and watching over the river one boat was passing by after the other. It made me thinking what they were all heading and what their respective missions where. After a while I realized it was probably not the right thing to focus on and my attention went back to this beautiful skyline.
Hope you like the photo and that you are having a good day - keep Steeming.
Cool
Thank you :)
Great shot. Last time I was in Shanghai, that big building on the right still hadnt been completed
It's crazy how fast they build here. I think one floor was added every three days during construction- insane. It's pretty cool that you have the photo of the construction phase - looks badass
Yeah I really enjoyed the trip. And it must be a China/Korea/Japan thing. The infrastructure in these three Asian powerhouses is unbelievable. Gone a few days and you might not recognize your city when you get back
I completely agree. These days the transportation infrastructure is also super modern.
Today I came back from a business trip . I made the same trip 7 years ago. Back then I first went to the airport in Hangzhou. Probably 3 hours spent from that when you leave home till take off. When i arrived it was a 4 hour drive from the airport to the factory which is located in Shandong province.
This time around it was one hour car ride from the train station to the factory and the train ride only took 3,5 hours.
All in all the travel time was basically cut in half if you add the time which it takes to go the airport and the flight time.
The infrastructure is unbelievable. Have they extended the Maglev track any further? When I was there last it was just a straight shot from the airport to the downtown region. The ride lasted a few minutes at blazing fast speeds, too short of a trip to truly enjoy the ride
That skyline is amazing and that boat los huge, there are similar seen onthe East and Hudson Rivers here but i do not believe i have ever seen one that big
Yea this one was huge to say the least - almost looks like a skyscraper could be loaded on it lol
Your right it does look that big

Great city skyline backdrop. Shanghi looks awesome
Thanks man
What a lovely frame. I like it. Thanks for sharing.
Good angle and nice story. I think the vessel could be a dry cargo ship for cement, sand or grain. I've been there once beautiful city but very hot in even late spring. Thanks.
