Scratch that, existence, for even scarcity is
Precious the illusion that enraptured youth
Embezzle from a doublethink society which
Cleverly persuades subconsciously,
Dissuades 'em from the scholary
& Hourly cashes blank checks
That sink into the marine
Depths of infamy, a
Hidden history of
Manipulation &
High crimes
Against
Human
Ity.
That day,
When gold flags
Wave in the cerulean,
Truly mended atmosphere
Bio-technologic applications
Transmuting all the radiation. When
Pollution begins to be reversed no
Rehearsal can prepare us for that
Glorious day when we change our
Ways, gently or shatteringly
The power structure battered
Finally shall fall, for the
Good of all, and these long
Years that we hoped and
We Helped and loved and
Lost will not be
In vain as we
Reaffirm the
Simple &
Beautiful
Cosmic
Refrain.

Thanks for uprooting my posts again. I want to learn from you. What kind of poetry do you think is best to try to produce. I see you get a good number of up votes and views for your poetry posts. How long did it take you to get a good following?
I would say whatever type you enjoy writing would be best! I have noticed the majority pay more attention to how the post looks, since many people are not too fond of reading. Also, you can experiment and write in many veins.
I write spokenword (more like rapping), antiquated/flowery (shakespeareish), some more philosophical, others more absurd, others entertaining, others esoteric or strange. It depends on the day. But I try to make sure the post looks attractive, which just took a bit of learning how to code in markdown. It's not too difficult. Also, about how long it takes to get a following, I would say it takes some weeks of consistent posting. You really ought to get involved/ supported by the @minnowsupport project, as it helps immensely in the beginning. Join the PAL discord server here: https://discord.gg/D3X8cm. You will need 0.002 STEEM to register in the #registration channel with @banjo and @minnowsupport. I'll send you that after I'm done commenting :)
Then, every 12 hours you can use an $upvote command in the #upvote channel of the discord, which will help support your posts a little.
Also, the biggest thing is to start meeting and connecting to like-minded people, cause of course that's what truly makes the world go round! Seems like you're already doing that! :D

Right now, having just read this poem, the thing that comes to mind is The Struggle. Life is not easy, and we all face trials. It is the triumph over those trials that leads to so much happiness. Nice write.

I am thankful that my boyfriend's flight landed safely. I am less thankful to my cat for waking me up and then barfing on my bed. In the grand scheme of things though, things could be worse!
