A Hearty Repast

Reading notes: I am writing a poetry cycle in 21 parts to challenge myself in the coming days (1 each day.) The first 7 make up "A Hearty Repast," the second 7, "Endless Gifts," the third 7, "Digest Destiny." Here I combine II and III because II is rather short and is yesterday's (11/11/17) writing. So now we will be caught up! I generally do not like to state what a poem is "about," as the point of abstraction is for the reader to generate their own individualized meaning through the interfacing process. Feel free to speculate, however, with a comment, or to express your perspective on what it seemed to you to be about. It is very interesting for me. There are really no wrong answers! Thanks for supporting me by reading, upvoting, and re-steeming my poetry posts. It really means a lot and I am so grateful for all my followers. If you missed part I of "A Hearty Repast", click here. At the end of 7 days I will also compile it together and publish it as an entire post. Enough! On to the poetry.
II.
What pestilent cloudburst
Bestrewn o'er the unspeakable depths
Brought forth this ugly sore,
Beautiful crocus of humanity embroiled?
We take tea with daemons
Converse pleasantly, quashing terror
With a honeyed crumpet.
The toddlers are exiled to a
Dungeon in the cerebellum to tinker
With their traumas & invent
Screen plays "based on a true story."
The whirling wheel of horror spins
Such crude regrets thru a typhic lens
To splay out skeletal appendages
O'er nightmare city sky.
III.
Devious torchling implanted ecstatic.
Mosquito of topaz, lion of jade,
Ruminant emerald of halcyon days.

Remembrance of magic, illustrious touch,
Elaborate semblance, homunculous sludge.
Gentle ball'rina of tigerstripe wings,
Nymph with silk lips stitched together yet sings.
.
Biomes shift infinitesimal tremors.
Polyphasic emotional timbres bestow
Shapeliness to ethereal hills &
Cannibalize vague monstrosities for brick.
Mortar of her memory serves as
Magnetic glue for an impossible palace
With walls of diamondized water,
Restrained by force fields
(The majestic aura of dreams.)
The recitation of solemn &
Jovial verse here ensues
With procession of starfish
& spacemen & great plumes of
Mystical muses erupting from
Canyons & springing from streams.

I sometimes don't know how you manage to dig so deep and come out with great creativity, beautiful words and flowing thoughts. It seems to be a continuing source of new profound ideas, expressions of feelings and creative ideas. You must have a bountiful treasure of inner energy to keep your creativity on a constant course. I apologize for not being good about keeping up. With the holidays coming up I have been so busy and I guess I am getting older and slower!
