Old Town Square Prague closed for three hours today - security threat
Hello guys,
If any of you were in Prague today, specifically Old Town Square, then you were probably surprised the square was closed off. A suspicious object in a form of a bag was reported unattended by one of the pedestrians and the local authorities closed off the square for approximately three hours. It is not surprising at all, considering the world we are living in. It is way better to take precautions than anything bad to happen. It is great to see tightened security all over the place as the terrorist attacks and acts of violence are happening daily all around the world. We are very fortunate that no such acts are happening in Prague or any other location around the country and I hope it stays that way. It is disheartening to see any violence or malicious behaviour anywhere in the world and we should all have eyes in the places that might not really be of any of our interest to prevent anything like that happening.

Then also in this country they suffer from terrorism? this part of the city seems quiet, anyway one day I will travel for every europa.

Thankfully the terrorism stays away and hopefully it will stay that way!
Always good to be careful. But it's more likely a terrorist attack would be done with a truck or a shooting. Like in Stockholm or Barcelona. Could you imagine that happening in Prague?
Unfortunately this can happen anywhere but we have been good so far and hopefully it will stay that way.
Very unlikely to happen in a Visegrad 4 country. For a terrorist attack of a certain kind to happen you need people that look like, walk like and talk like terrorists. Unlike Western Europe that invited these kind of people over half a century ago, you won't meet much of those kind of people in former Warschaupakt countries in this part of Europe.

terrorism is affecting whole world this is sad how it affect free will of individuals.
I know, it's really bad for everyone....
We live in a crazy world these days, it is wrong to say that the world looks selfish if life is good, it is safe to visit Prague;)
Whenever this square is not closed, you can also get this picture with long-term displays and ND filters. 😊
I think the Czech government is not stingy, allocates a lot of money for protection from terrorism.
