See the winner of the last week´s South American Saturday @jpphotography with the following entry:

Santuario Mariano de la Torre, Bolivia. The cliffs near Chochis in Eastern Bolivia are beautiful and just one of the many beautiful landscapes that this area has to offer, but although many places in Eastern Bolivia are easily accessible from the new highway from Brazil to Santa Cruz, tourism is almost non-existent in this part of Bolivia; I did not meet a single Western traveller in one week.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #81 - winner announcement!

@sinochip Asian Sunday entry:

Halong Bay is probably a must visit in you're in northern Vietnam. So being a first time visit I did what all tourist did, even though I hate doing that. I took a cruise out to Halong Bay, boarded a smaller boat, toured around the limestone structures, watched how the locals live on their boats and finally went to Dong Thien Cung to look at the stalactites and stalagmites. All very touristy. Here's a photo I took when I was inside Dong Thien Cung, and I have to admit, it was quite remarkable inside.

@fotogruppemunich Australian Monday entry:

I took the picture of the skyline of Sydney from the Overseas Passenger Terminal at the harbour. I tried to find another perspective to photograph the city. If you look at the picture in large you can even see some stars in the sky.

Incredibly transparent sea with the colorful sign "Holbox" in the foreground. Holbox is a beautiful island in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, located on the north coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. It is approximately 41.84 kilometres (26 miles) long and 1.5 kilometres (0.9 miles) wide, and it is separated from the mainland by 10 km of shallow lagoon that is home to flamingos, pelicans and other rich birdlife.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #81 - winner announcement!

@crazy-andy African Wednesday entry:

Photo is from Mahango National Park in Namibia at the start of Caprivi area. I was there in 2015. That afternoon we took a boat cruise and it ended with typical, but sensational African scene. Sunset with two hippos and bush at the riverbank makes my memory on that day fabulous.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #81 - winner announcement!

@jpphotography European Thursday entry:

Fountain in Copenhagen, Denmark. When I visited Copenhagen for the first time in 2017, it was raining all day and despite the impressive architecture I could not leave fast enough. When I came back last year, I got very lucky with the weather and had a fantastic day in this beautiful city.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday week #81 - winner announcement!

@gunnarheilmann North American Friday entry:

First Nite in White Pocket - Arizona
This photograph is really special to me. I took it on my very first trip to White Pocket. When i first lay foot on these grounds i was sooooo overwelmed by its diversity in shape and color. There was this puddle but yet a little wind so the reflection is not perfect. Yet i find it so cool. This is one of the very first photos that i took there. During the 30sec. exposure i lit up the mountains with a LED-Lenser X21.r.2 to actually get to see it in the photograph at the end. The camera was on ISO 400 and the lens on F4 16mm.

Crater lake Quilotoa

If you google Quilotoa lake, you will most likely find photos of a turquoise lake. When I visited though, it was very foggy and just after hiking down to the lake, I managed to catch this beautiful view of the reflecting lake.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

A sunset photo in Montevideo (Uruguay), the water corresponds to the river Río de La Plata. The photo was taken from the most souther point of the city. At the background you can see the silhouettes of the buildings at the city centre.

This time I share a photograph of a beautiful sunset with a reddish tone and, of course, it was in one of my favorite places to contemplate the magic hour, I'm talking about the Bay of Juan Griego on the Island of Margarita -Venezuela.

Canyon Fortaleza - Cambará do Sul, Brazil

On the flat lands of southern Brazil I once found myself near this big scar on the earth. The canyons Fortaleza and Intaimbezinho are one of the most iconic and impressive points to contemplate what nature can produce.

Playa Mansa-Venezuela is a very nice place with a view of the open countryside that allows you to enjoy beautiful sunsets in all its splendor, it is one of the closest beaches that I have to the place where I work, when I leave work early I go to the beach to take pictures and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

A small solitary boat seen from the beach of dreams in Armação dos Búzios, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, in the summer of 2017. Looking for old folders full of photo files, I always find many things forgotten to be rediscovered. Pictures that I did not believe were good, but which I can now see with a new look.

City of Caracas - Venezuela

Beautiful sunset in the city of Caracas the capital of Venezuela. Visiting some friends in Caracas, from the balcony of the house I could appreciate and capture this wonderful sunset.

Copacabana is the main Bolivian town on the shore of Lake Titicaca. This is the view of a little part of the lake from one of the two hill with ancient Inca ruins. A nice hike to see all the city and Lake.
