Bay of Bones, Macedonia

Bay of Bones is a museum on Lake Ohrid about the lifestyle of an ancient civilisation of fishermen who used to live in stilt houses on the edge of the lake.

One with nature... My wife lying on the green and flowering plain of Alentejo (Southern Portugal), in full communion with Mother Nature. The mind totally submerged in the natural world.
There is no better meditation than this!

Corporation Pier
Hull was the last destination on our trip to Yorkshire in November 2018. It was a cultural delight. My personal favourite was Marina.

The Corporation Pier was right in between and bringing you closer to the low waters. Very shaky and you could peak between the boards down onto the muddy bank of river Hull. I can't believe it is safe, from aside it looks like it is about to fall like a house of cards. But we survived!

This is the view from the Alcázar of Segovia in Spain. The alcazar is a medieval structure built on the hilltop overlooking the Guadarrama mountains. This view makes you forget you're in the modern age.

Országház, the seat of the Hungarian Parliament, located in Budapest on the banks of the Danube. Országház is the symbols of Hungary and one of the oldest government buildings in Europe. The building is 268 meters long and 123 meters wide. The outer walls are decorated with 88 sculptures of Hungarian rulers and warlords. They look up to the 96m high neo-Renaissance dome. This number has a symbolic meaning, reminiscent the date of arrival of the Hungarians in their homeland in 896.

Greece is photogenic from almost everywhere, but one of the most privileged views of the city of Athens can be obtained by visiting the hill of Likabitos: the Acropolis, the city at its feet and the sea, what more can you ask for?

The Macocha abyss in Moravian Karst (30kilometres from Brno, the Czech Republic) and view from the top to bottom, it is 138.4 meters depth. There you can find two deep lakes (the deeper has over 50 meters). The name was given thanks to legend about stepmother ("macecha" in Czech) who pushed her stepson into the abyss. The boy fortunately was caught by a branch and was saved by passing by man who heard his crying. Villagers when they learned what happened, threw the stepmother into the abyss as a revenge.

This photo could easily be also from my homeladn Slovenia, but it is not. This are French Alps, to be more precise vicinity of Col du Galibier where I was cycling couple of years ago...
