Qurator's Photo Friday #77 - Flaming Hurghada. Early morning at the beach near Hurghada, Egypt. My last day of vacation, but still decided to wake up early to catch sunrise. And I was right, this clouds line at the horizon just made all the scenery very special with those visible sun rays. All combined with nice long tele-photo lens perspective and reflection from the water surface. Enjoy the scenery :)

Thale Noi Lotus Lake, South Thailand. Today I share a image which I took last weekend on one of the most beautiful lakes during sunrise I've ever seen. It's a lotus flower lake in the south of Thailand surrounded by breathtaking landscape.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #89 – winner announcement!

@jpphotography Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

Dark Clouds over New Zealand Beach. I don't remember on which of New Zealand's countless beaches I took this shot, but I believe it was somewhere on the North Island's West Coast. Despite the dark clouds in this photo, I was lucky to have almost no rain during seven weeks in this beautiful country.

City Walls of Taroudant, Morocco

Despite its location close to the tourist resort town Agadir, Taroudant does not receive many visitors. Even though I had only planned to stay in Taroudant for a night on my way to Essaouira, I liked the atmosphere of this town so much that I ended up staying another day.

There is not a single hostel in Taroudant, but I got a small room in a basic hotel with a rooftop terrace overlooking the central square for only 50 Dirhams (4.40€) a night. The town is framed by the beautiful city walls that you can see in the photo below and is home to a wide range of different markets.

Aswan Skies

Another frame from the trip over Egypt couple years ago. Just to remind, after arrival to Hurghada by plain, then next day we were transferred to Luxor to small cruise ship for about 3 days trip up the Nile to Aswan. After this with a train we moved to Cairo and then with bus to Alexandria and back to Hurghada... was a long story over 1 week

So here is the view to the Nile in Aswan in the afternoon when we proceeded with a small sailing boat to visit authentic Nubian village. Simply amazing cold sky well combined with warm colors of sand dunes

Enjoy the scenery!

While on a bush walk in the Okavango Delta in Botswana, we came across this Zebra family. Not long after, the rest of the herd emerged from the bushes and they all started to run past us then joined up with a herd of wilderbeast of in the distance. It's amazing to see all the wild life Africa has to offer.

I don't think I participated in this African continent contest.
In 2006 we were on a vacation in Egypt, Hurghada. It was the first and for now the only time I went to that area. Since we had little kids at that time we were limited in what we could do.
We were able to spend a day with Bedouin people in the area. These are a group of nomadic Arab people who live in the desert.
It was a nice experience. I remember lively how the kids were having a good time, without having all the luxury we have in our area.

The photo was taken with one of my first digital cameras I had.

When I took this picture I was in Madagascar a few months ago, precisely in October. It was perhaps the most beautiful journey of my life!!
The trip was divided into two: the first week dedicated to the islands and the second dedicated to the North Tour. On that exact day we were on the North Tour with our Jeep and stopped down the road to buy some mango.. How good it was!!DSC07015.jpg

Alexandria is the second-largest city of Egypt and a major economic centre on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The city was founded by Alexander the Great during his conquest of the Achaemenid Empire around the year 332 BC.
