Introduction
Hi Steemit Community.
I signed in here a while back and am only now taking the plunge. I'm a retired medical secretary and a full time grandma with three beautiful grandchildren.
I have many interests that I dabble in when time permits. My top priority is my family and when I am not playing with them I'm into the alternative media tracking what is really going on in our world and beyond. From time to time I watch the main stream media to see where they are trying to take us or whether any truths are being disclosed.
This could turn into a long story, so better I just list my other interests before diving into this place: crypto currencies and watching the transfer of wealth, alternative health/healing, astrology, the nature of reality, gardening and spending time out in nature, driving around the country where I live (New Zealand) and catching up with friends who are scattered all over.
Tomorrow I am taking a five hour trip north to stay with my two eldest grandchildren while their parents tour the UK and Europe. While I am there I will spend some time in here looking through the various categories, meeting others and following those I have subscribed to on You Tube who I know are here also.
I'm looking so forward to learning more from the people in this community.

Hi Kiwideb, my apologies for the long delay in replying. I'm living in Central Otago for the moment. I have been here for around ten months. I'm originally from Christchurch and have been living in Dunedin before moving to Central. :-)

Oh, you are so right much to my shame! My intentions of posting regularly flew right out of the window while I was away caring for my grandkids and I never quite made it back.
I have aptly called myself Cyberbunny because I am exactly that. I came back to Steemit to find some people I follow who are posting their You Tube videos in Dtube because of censorship and banning from You Tube. They are 'truthers' and I enjoy what they put out. So I'm fumbling around trying to navigate and relearn how to do things in here when I decided to go and check out where I left off. So here I am again. Thanks for saying 'hi' and rousing my curiosity as to what your group is about. Would love a few words about it, thanks.

The group is designed to be a gathering place for kiwis, and we have just begun curating, and started an upvote bot; and we plan on running challenges and competitions - and generally fostering good ol' kiwi spirit. :D
Sounds good. I always prick my ears when I see a Kiwi or Aussie posting in Northern Hemisphere sites. It's always a bit of a mystery as to how many know about us 'down here' but I do think there are a lot more aware now. I think there are some who see NZ as a safe haven and have staked a claim so to speak, buying property and chunks of land here. Hmmmmm.
I'm a bit of an information gatherer and like to know what is going on in the world. You could say I have been 'red pilled' for many years and have felt out on a limb. But there are a lot more of us now.
Your group sounds lovely. Cant say that I would be very active, not so much into competitions, etc but its nice to know of your existence. Thanks for your reply. :-)

Yesterday we started a small competition - to name our upvote bot. Hoping for a bit of fun kiwiana.
They say that no matter where in the world you go, you'll meet someone from 'home'. I was at the petrol station and got talking to someone who was from the same region as I was from, and she was telling me about others she knew of who had migrated similarly. So that saying really is true, lol.
