[ New opportunities for Latin-America on the blockchain ]

It's well known that latinamerica have several problems like the exponential inflation or the eternal struggle on education. These problems are making governments tightening capital controls, for example the Brazilian government and the new tax over the payments sent out of the country (including remittances, tourism expenses and other services) affecting the wealth of our citizens and the quality of their lifes.

The Scenario

That’s why we see all the developments that are emerging in the blockchain ecosystem, not only as new markets or new ways to interact. For us, the Latin Americans, is an invaluable way to get opportunities to improve our society. A clear example would be elections on blockchain, the mining of altcoins, or the social growth if cryptocurerncies would be used as an universal currency, that allowed consumers to shop and send money internationally from international businesses that might not accept local payment options.

But the number of people from Latin-America that uses cryptocurrency and many others that owns a blockchain system or a blockchain business, are a minority compared to the rest.

That is one of the main disadvantages that we have, because our searching for solutions gets limited. Even so, individuals are realizing that Bitcoin can be more "stable" than local currencies. During 2015, Bitcoin holders performed more than 400% better than the Venezuelan Bolivar, more than 65% better than the Mexican Peso and more than 41% better than the Argentine Peso.

We see the blockchain ecosystem as the beginning of a hopeful path, although usage is growing rapidly, it still faces several obstacles but that's why we want to pass through them together, without the labels of nations or languages.
