Becoming a better Steemian
Hello, dear Steemians!
I want to let you know that I've decided to try to become a better Steemian.
So, yesterday, in the evening, I went to the book store in order to buy an English grammar book and a vocabulary book for English learners, because I have realized that I need to improve my English. So, these are the books that I bought in the store:
These books are for beginners. Yeah, I've decided to start from a scratch, because I was not very good at English language at school and at the university. To be honest, I did my Master's degree in German and English, but I've pretty much forgotten how to speak German at all, and I've not been speaking and writing in English too much in the last 10 years. So, that's why I decided to start from a scratch.
You may ask me why I have decided to do it? The short answer is, because I want to become a better Steemian. Most of us Steemians communicate with each other in English. Almost on a daily basis we write posts and comments in English. Some of us even make DTube videos, speaking in English. So, in order to better understand each other, I think it would be better if we speak and write in English better. That's why I will study English, because I want to try to expand my vocabulary, to improve my grammar skills, to learn some new and useful phrases, and to learn how to express myself better.
Now, on my accent ... Hmm, actually, I don't have an accent :). Let me explain you why I think so. A few days ago @blacklux wrote in the comments under one of my videos, that she had watched my video and she found my accent to be cool :). He-he! Of course, in response to her comment, I wrote the following: «I speak without accent! I just speak international English, that's why it sounds strange to you!». He-he-he! So, fellows, I don't have an accent!
Ok, about the accent I was just kidding. Yeah, I will never be able to get rid of my accent, but I will try to significantly improve my English. Let's see, what I will have achieved by the end of the year and if I will be able to become a better Steemian.
See ya later!
@cryptospa, Wow...that';s tremendous decision for being best steemian and response to them highly. I believe you have better speaking English skills. I'm not a fluent English speaker or writer. But always keep finding new word I add to my mind. I try to put best understanding language comment or make video through my little bit polished knowledge.
In fact your idea more powerful and try to listen British fluent peoples conversation. Then your understanding level will improve through listening. My beginners level I listened more conversation before find grammar. But you have passed your beginner level, you want only improve some.
It's great that you decided to improve your English. I'd like to improve mine, too.
I think the good ways to do this are to speak more English and read classical and modern good English literature.
I think you're a good steemian! Also you do have a cool accent... basically we all do haaaa Is a good thing to improve the vocabulary, my english sucks and I'm not ashamed of saying it ahahaha
That's a good move, improving and polishing up on your english is a marvellous idea. You are already 95% there as I clearly understand when you speak and you write well too👍😀

A good place for help with English on steem is the blog of @majes.tytyty. He has a daily vocab practice post you can comment on.
You learn about a tiny part of the English Language each day and write 3 sentences to show you have understood the lesson. He will tell you if you have it right and he will upvote the comment too. So it is a really good place to learn here and keep steeming while you do.
Good for you to have this goal @cryptospa. I know you will improve as you wish. This post comes through very well, so you do not have far to go.
@fitinfun, thank you for stopping by! I find the information in your comment very useful. So, I'll follow @majes.tytyty.
Hope you are having a wonderful day.
