[French Music] Why is this music so pretty?

Klô Pelgag - L'étoile thoracique (2016)

I always browse Spotify looking for the warm fuzzies that tell me the music is good. I felt them yesterday when I found this song called "Les instants d'équilibre". It's just so aesthetic! The instruments seem to dance in an exotic rhythm together with the magical voice. It's like jumping into a pool of colours, emotions and Alice-in-Wonderland-ness.

The last time I felt similarly was when Spotify recommended the artists Polo & Pan. And it was not so sublime. Klô Pelgag is much more discrete about the intention. It's not overwhelming all the time, only during the climax. I just close my eyes, listen to it and feel as if my world were dancing around me. The album is good, and all of the songs are awesome and pretty in a similar way, but none is as pretty as the first one I found, (Les instants d'équilibre).

Polo & Pan - Arc en ciel (2018)

I mentioned before that Klô Pelgag reminds me a lot to Polo & Pan. The aesthetic composition is similar and the instruments create similar effects. However, Polo & Pan are not as discrete and minimalistic. They use more traditional resources to convey the meaning. There are a lot more electronic effects. But in the end, both of them generate this warm fuzzy that I look for in a very effective way. I'm entranced and taken to a world of adventures just by listening to this music. This is the first song I found from them called Arc-en-ciel (rainbow), and it's still my favourite.

I love some of the traditional feeling values. It's like a mixture of a quiet farmer's ballad and club pop.

I heard the song as a single, but they later released an album where it is featured. The album is called Caravelle and it's great. Just like with Klô Pelgag, the first song is the one that stuck and seems more beautiful and the others, though also awesome and beautiful, can't create the exact same level of emotions. Fishbach - À ta merci (2018)

Another wonderful artist that struck me as odd in how beautiful their music was is Fishbach. I met this one before the other two when they had only released a few singles. I kept listening to them every once in a while and was astounded that there wasn't anything else about them. I couldn't find a background or more music. I really wanted more, and then they delivered like a drug.

I don't remember which one was the first song I listened to by them, but the song name I think about when I think about the band is Mortel (deadly). Here's a link to this very, very beautiful song:

There is, however, another song I think about. That's where Fishbach differs from the other two. It's awesome when you're waiting for a language and another one pops up in an emotional track such as this one. I saw the songname "A beautiful language" and thought "this is indeed a very beautiful language". This is a song in Arabic. It doesn't really talk about Arabic or French, but I imagined that it did and it's what gave it more beauty. I assume it's the same singer.

Fishbach isn't that flashy or as crazy as the others, but the music is very beautiful and touching in a different way than the other two artists.
