My Blood Pressure Wasn't So Cooperative Today At Dialysis

I Have Managed To Survive My Session

Today at dialysis I took my usual dose of Caffeine pills with one 200 mg at the start of my session and 500+ mg at the second half of the four hour session. But my blood pressure started to go down to 120 at the second half of my dialysis and 30 minutes after that my BP already is in the 100 and 90 systolic. At that point I am already nervous that I will not be able to finish once again my session.

My nurses are inclined to "flush" my system with saline solution just to correct my BP or raise a bit. Flushing is the same as infusing NSS or sodium saline solution but the moment they would do it I would decline even though my BP is already 90 systolic with my neck already aching because of that.

But I know that I can still endure the treatment even though it is very uncomfortable already, I had a worse case of it though. My breaking point is when my vision begins to dim then I would have no choice but to throw in the towel of giving up otherwise I will black-out.

That is just my plan and it is just good that when I say "don't" to my nurses they would comply now LOL, I have a waiver anyway so I just don't want them to fiddle with the treatment. Either I will crash my blood pressure and give-up or go low with my BP and endure it just for me to get a considerable quality of blood cleaning.

Anyway, it is just weird enough that despite my already large dose of Caffeine my BP still crashes. It is because it is already in a dose of around 764 mg of heart-busting Caffeine intake in one sitting. It might be that my dialyzer is just very efficient in cleaning my blood which should be the case because it is a relatively big type of highflux dialyzer already while in other patients they prefer the regular ones which for me is not really good at cleaning bigger molecule toxins like ammonia and uric acid.

But I do not know, I was using a smaller regular dialyzer but still my BP goes down as well so I maybe had not known the other factors that is causing my BP to crash which in my case I will never know exactly. What I am doing right now is to just trying to support my BP with blood-pressure-raising drugs and in this instance the Caffeine pills and energy drinks plus prayers that I will not conk my heart or liver or my arteries in the process.

Dialysis now is very stressful unlike in the former times where I will get drawn out with 7 kilos of water even during my once per seven days dialysis session and I will still feel okay even though it causes me to get severe cramps which later I have learned how to control later. But now I am getting a very unforgiving sessions which I just have to take unconventional measures just for me to be able to avoid having a bad dialysis day.
