I Want A New House

This house where I live in right now was built when my father was abroad. I do not know why he is not around while this house was being built but maybe he just contacted his cousin who was the contractor of this house. Anyway, the lot was from my grandfather, my father's father so my father just bought the lot while the disassembled wooden house parts got transferred into their new home up north where my grandmother, grandfather, my aunts, and uncle resided until now although my uncle and my aunt now moved in the capital Manila.

Now this house is just too old already as it was built in 1983 when I was just still very young. Nothing got improved in this house during all these years except the terrace which had been converted into an extra room since maybe my father was thinking that we are six in the family and there are only two rooms which one room was for us three of my brothers and the other room was for my mother and sister.

We Just Live In A Small House

So when the terrace got converted into another room me and my brothers was the ones that used it while my sister got the other room and my parents with the room beside it. But I myself before that just slept on the sofa and sometimes at one point we all did just to save some electricity when using the electric fan.

Anyway, this house is so old that I just forced to renovate the bathroom first because when it is raining hard the bathroom gets unusable because it just gets flooded with water. It threatened me because it is hard for me to use my sister's bathroom. So with some cash that I had saved I told my parents to once and for all renovate the bathroom.

I told them to purchase a bigger toilet bowl with a flush so that I will not worry on flushing it with a pail of water a quarter full of water which I could not even lift. Now for the first time ever since I was young we now have a toilet bowl that actually flushes. I also told them to put tiles on it but only the flooring got tiled to my dismay

Flooding Is One Reason I Wanted Renovation For This House At Least

Well anyway the important thing now is that at least is now more presentable than the old one where it is really embarrassing when other people sees our toilet. My father actually had gone used to it that he just never really planned to fix it. So now my mother is not sending guests to my sister's bathroom anymore because she is embarrassed to let other people see our toilet.

That is just the toilet but I just wanted to also renovate the whole house roof and all especially the corrugated steel roof which is now half-eaten by rust and now when it rains parts of the ceiling drips with rain water. Parts of the ceiling now is just rotting so it is not really a good sight to look at.

And of course the flooring, it has to be elevated soon before it submerges again as it floods now here inside the house come the heavy rains caused by Typhoons and Monsoon. Even though I could not walk anymore it is also not good to see below my bed that there will be water there.

The Roof Walls And Ceiling Are Now Trodden By Time

Now if I were to have the means to renovate this house I will just make it a place with two big rooms God-willing, for myself and my parents. I want it maybe divided apart where if I were to play a loud music in my room they will not get bothered. So maybe there might be a garden space in between where sometimes I will sit around and get a sun rays over my skin or just inspect my grafted fruit plants or trees. That would be an excellent addition.

But I myself also wanted a bathroom near my room for the reason of convenience as I am just disabled enough that short distances are now an eternity to walk to and from. That I think would be in the plan. The kitchen area and the dining area I wanted to just get bigger with a rectangular wooden table and a long bench and some chairs on the edges just to make room for more people when my sibling's families get together for an occasion.

I Also Wanted A Little Grated Fruit Trees and Plants Garden Where I Can Relax From Time To Time

Now I wanted the sofa area to be just cozy with leather sofa where sometime si could sit around and watch television with my folks. It would either have some airconditioning or a very good exhaust fan so that stale air would get out. I also wanted our door to face the road and not the east anymore because of the new settings.

So that will be the general idea on what I wanted to be with this house. As my parents gets old I just wanted some clean, safe, and secure home for them to live after I died. As for myself before I die I just also wanted the same because right now I am just enduring these situation we are experiencing. I really could not touch my money because it is just reserved for my medical needs, it has to have the first priority for the reason that no one in my relatives are really helping me out. So I just hope that soon I will get the opportunity to achieve my plans not only for me bit also for my family.
