I had an abdominal X-ray about a couple of weeks ago because I suffered from constipation which I thought would need some other serious and expensive medical attention which also scared me because I do not want an unnecessary CT-Scan or other means to diagnose a seemingly simple irregular bowel movement.

I actually have good bowel movement, it is just my diet is low on fiber which makes it hard for me to pass my stools in the toilet plus the fact that I am taking Calcium supplement made it worse.

Anyway my fear dissipated after the gave two suppositories I was able to let out my rock hard stools so we just went home and I promised myself to eat some fruits at least to help me with my bowel movements in the future.

Now with this abdominal X-ray that I had actually went good because with the shortness of my torso it also covered my upper body. It showed my lungs, liver which I think has a spot on it, maybe a gallstone or maybe another liver illness that I do not know of.

But the thing that horrified me in seeing was my back bone, it is now crooked and veering to the left of my upper body and to the right on the liver side and then to the left again on the upper pelvic area. In short it is as crooked as hell which is why I am having pains when I am sitting up (even while I am laid down) especially when walking, it is just painful.

Also I noticed that I have a hard time sleeping on my left side, it had gone painful than before maybe because of my spinal changes so it just feels like as painful as it looks like. I am just worried and now I am realizing that my hardship is just beginning right now and I do not know what to do.

Sort:

I'm sorry for your pains. When I was young, my spine and physique in general was quite normal and (I've been told) quite appealing.
Now as I've grown older, My scoliosis has gotten worse, I have a "Widows Hump"(Kyphosis) and my hips cant downward, making my belly more prominent (Lordosis)
I have degenerative disk disease, so many of the spaces between the vertebrae (especially in my neck) are narrowing.
There is little that can be done for me.

I almost had a fusion(Laminoplasty actually) about 6 yrs ago in my neck, but we talked me out of it.
I was really disturbed by what appeared to me as my spinal cord being pinched.

My bones are just degenerating, soon one by one will give way so I am just worried about being paralyzed and also fracturing my hip joints. My left hand is actually showing signs of what happened to my feet joints which both are painful to walk with. Unless I get my Parathyroidectomy the degeneration will continue to happen.
Best regards to you @jerrytsuseer and I hope that you not have much worse problems with your spine.
