Enhance your well-being with this common nutrient

When I started being a dialysis patient, I was prescribed a seemingly unimportant supplementation of iron or ferrous sulfate tablet, the common form of it available. The doctor told me that I needed it so that it will help me make my blood more redder by making more hemoglobin, the thing that makes the blood red in color. Right then and there, I started to know more about the importance of iron for our well-being. And so, I learned that iron will make our blood's red blood cells to absorb more oxygen that it picks up from our lungs while it is circulating in our system by which it also unloads carbon dioxide in return, to and fro our body's cells.

Think of our body cells like any other organism needs nutrients that it gets from the food that we eat. It also needs to breath and it gets that from the blood. Now it cannot fully function if it does not get enough oxygen. A fine example is the acetylene blow torch of a welder, he lights it up, the flame are produced but it is not strong and intense. Then he adjusts the air to make it more hotter for his purpose. It is the same effect when our cells gets more oxygen, we get to feel more power in the form of energy. The result is a more stronger body, more endurance for our daily tasks, better sleep, and enhanced appetite.

The enhanced appetite is due to our cells fully utilizing the nutrients by efficiently burning it by oxygenation, so it gobbles it up quickly making it crave more nutrients and then we feel hungry. we also get to sleep better because our brain is oxygenated more efficiently as well. It's just the opposite of having an insomnia for patients because of low hematocrit (red blood cells) level in their blood. Insomnia suffered by most dialysis patients is due to the diminished circulating red blood cells in their body brought about by inability of the bone marrow to produce new red blood cells because the kidneys are not able to produce a hormone called "Erythropoietin" the hormone that tells the bone marrow to create more red blood cells when the carbon dioxide in the body gets high. Less red blood cells in effect makes the patient weak in varying degrees based on how low their red blood cells in the body. They cannot eat properly (decreased appetite) and develops an insomnia.

Take for example in the case of the bicycle athlete Lance Armstrong. He allegedly was doping with the use of the Erythropoeitin hormone. He is using it for one reason and that is to enhance his endurance for his sport and it made him far more superior among his co-athletes thereby making him won most of the contests that he joined especially the famous Tour de France bicycle marathon event. His team also used the method of blood-letting but for the purpose of transfusing it back to their bodies. It is their undetectable way of artificially adding more red blood cells into their bodies. The body immediately replaces blood when it detects a rise of carbon dioxide in the blood due to for example a blood-letting procedure, or bleeding, then it quickly is replaced by the body. So the athletes get a fresh blood from their own system and then during the event they get the transfusion, their way of gaming the game.

Likewise if you enhance the red blood cell's capacity to bring more oxygen to your body cells, you will feel the reverse of the ill-effects that I mentioned above. I am sharing this based on my experience in the most simple way that I can tell you. So if you want to feel good with more energy and enhanced well-being, enhance your blood's capacity to bring more oxygen into your body. Iron supplementation works in prescribed amounts and you can absorb the elemental iron better by taking it with vitamin C. You can also go all natural by eating liver but it is better to be eaten with green vegetables and vitamin C as well for the purpose of a more enhanced absorption of the iron from the foods.
