Dear Diary: My Father Went To The Dialysis Center Again To Fix Our Car There

Our car which is actually my brother's car was bought as a second-hand taxi with a "Right's Paper" to be used as planned before to be a taxi service about 20 years ago.

We ventured unto that kind of financial source for the family because the bakery business that my parents brought up was a flop. So my brother and my Aunt both combined their money to buy a Toyota Utility Vehicle 40 K and 160 K respectively for 200,000 k car.

On the day of the taxi operation the car didn't start and my father discovered that the engine needs replacing so my brother had coughed cash for buying a second-hand engine.

The taxi service didn't turned-out to be profitable after a few months because of the disputes within the taxi owners on the taxi queue to pick-up customers but I think the issue is just about my father as he is not really into that kind of business so he quit.

He then sold the "Right To Operate Paper" of the taxi and bought a useless air compressor and a matching sprayer which I saw he fixed so it got broken.

Later he was thinking of going back to driving a taxi again and my mother said "No" for the obvious reasons that he is bad at businesses.

Now my brother took the burden of paying back my Aunt her share of purchasing the vehicle. It was a long-term payment and my brother had successfully paid in full after a few months.

Then my father tinkered around the vehicle. First the radio, he disassembled it and rubbed the contacts of the buttons until it became unresponsive.

He cut-off the antenna and shortened it and fixed it with a contact cement. He also took off the airconditioner and always tells us that it is a fuel hog anyway.

He "fixed" shock absorbers as well not it is like I am riding an Ox cart in that car. He also fashioned some fans inside the car and it looks like a radiator fan.

Now the tires needs replacing but it got replaced already as well as the battery a few days ago. Now he said the the trouble yesterday was the oil leaking so that he was fixing today at the dialysis center parking area.

We went home yesterday using my brother-in-law's car because my father went home to fetch it while I am hooked-up at dialysis.

The good thing is that my father is a mechanic and we do not have to spend some maintenance. Despite its rotten state it had served me in particular very well because of my schedules for dialysis.
