Dear Diary: It Will Be A Relatively Quiet Celebration Of New Year In My Country Due To Ban In Fireworks

There is a ban on fireworks set by the government lately and it was due to a number of fireworks-related accidents that maims a lot of people that uses such implements for their celebration of New Year.

The victims sometimes loses a finger or two or even their hand which is not good at ll because fingers and hands do not grow back thereby almost effectively making the victim lose their productivity potential, so in anyway we see it, it is not worth it to play with fireworks particularly the big and illegal ones that is like a real bomb when it blows up.

Now the businesses that makes those fireworks went out of business with only a few that survived and only manufactures the legal ones while some really continues to make the illegal fireworks and sell it only when someone asks for it.

But the police is quite tight on security and does some checkpoints in order to catch some people buying and possessing illegal fireworks even for personal purposes and nit intending to sell it again.

When I was younger, the morning after the New Year's eve the morning air is still thick with smoke because too many people had lighted up tires which is fun for kids as they can throw fireworks in it to make spectacular sparks, it was indeed fun and no one is protesting even though it causes pollution which anyway cannot be seen at night.

But now I would assume that it will be a lonelier New year's eve celebration this time because of the ban in fireworks but that is okay since it is just for the safety of the citizens and it really is not worth it to lose a limb for a celebration that is only temporary.
