Dear Diary: I Had A Good Sleep Last Night For A Reason Of A Miracle A Few Years Ago

Gone are the "years" actually that I was struggling to sleep and there are many times that I wouldn't get up from the sofa (my bed at that time) if I would not get some nap-like sleep. It is because I know that lack of sleep will and can make people crazy.

That is why drug users particularly those that use stimulants like "Meth" go crazy over time because they are over stimulated that they can go up for days at a time. Their brain would get deprived from sleep and then they would just go crazy.

That is what happened to my neighbor which are brothers, both of them are institutionalized and the other died already from unrelated cause. It is quite sad because both their parents also had passed-away.

Meth is a plague and already had caused so many lives and relationships broken. If the head of the family would use illegal drugs then the children would also get damaged in the process.

Illegal drug war in my country is ongoing and sadly it already had penetrated all levels of the government from the military to the village council that is why it is like treating a Tuberculosis patient which already had it for years. So the president of the Philippines said that it will take many years or probably will not be solved even after his own term in office.

Anyway now for me I just cherish the instances that I can sleep, I can also sleep during the day given that the surrounding are quiet relatively especially if I am sleepy. So I am neverendingly thankful for this gift from God because of this kind of miracle and now I am not requiring blood transfusions anymore as well because I am not getting anemic.

I am so fortunate that even though I am a dialysis patient I am one in a billion that do not require blood transfusions or EPO injections for some reasons that I cannot explain but it is really a miracle for me.
