Christmas Party Today For Senior Citizens Here In My Village Which My Mother Would Attend

Our Town Mayor Would Give-away Gifts For The Elders Today

This morning I received my gift from my Nephrologist which is a small-sized chicken ham plus a t-shirt which all of the patients and maybe also the nurses had received too. I thought that the ham was a whole chicken but it is like a pureed type of ready-to-eat cooked ball ham which I myself have no idea how it tastes like. But I am nonetheless thankful because I know that my mother is happy about it.

The t-shirt is a thing that I receive almost every year and I also use it as my uniform whenever I would go for my dialysis because my apparel is just always denim and t-shirts. I am not concentrating in styles nowadays, it is useless since I do not go out anymore and socialize and I just like to be comfortable than uncomfortably presentable. Now I have another dialysis t-short for my collection.

I just wished that my nephrologist or the hospital is more generous since my dialysis center is a big one that caters to a lot of dialysis patients where the machines often are just getting about six hours of rest only everyday.

Anyway as a yearly occasion for our village and in every village in our town, the municipal mayor is always conducting a Christmas party for the elders or senior citizens. It is an occasion where the elders are just given some groceries, give-aways, and a chance to win raffles.

So my mother just wants to attend it so she won't miss-out on those "grace" by our town Mayor. But I think it is just a way for our mayor to win the hearts of the senior citizens in my town for his or his family's future candidacy. That is how politics work in my country, corrupt officials would use tax money or maybe drug money to win people's votes.

Our town mayor is a dentist by profession and he substituted his brother for running for Mayoralty after his brother finished his own term. Anyway at least the senior citizens have something to receive from our mayor even though it is just mainly a few grocery items that I think was also had been butchered already by the village officials which always happens when there is a calamity and relief goods are distributed, the poor people would get a repacked item with some items in it already had been skimmed or stolen by these village officials.
