2017 Steemit account value...beyond my wildest dreams!
A few weeks ago my account value was around $5k due to the low price of STEEM. I wasn't terribly worried about it but I was curious what my account would be worth at the end of this year.
Earlier in the year my estimate was my account would be worth about $6k by the end of the year. I have put in a few thousands $ of my own money, most of which was done when STEEM was trading between $0.85 and $1.20, into my account here and to my surprise I've watched it grow by leaps and bounds over the past week or so.
Each day I look at it it's gone a few hundred dollars higher mostly due to the rise in the price of the currency. So where am I at and why am I so stoked?
My account value hit $10,000 last night!
$10K was my "pipe dream" target for the end of this year especially because I haven't been buying as much STEEM lately. I was waiting to see if it would go lower because I'd already bought a bunch at about a dollar average. I didn't realize we would see the price go up so dramatically in such a short period of time.
To be perfectly honest I had to send about 6o STEEM here through @blocktrades to hit the 10K mark because I was at like $9,040 and I really wanted to see that five figure number even if just for a short while if the currency price drops back down.
A lot of this sum is from investing my own money here but I've also earned through curation, authoring, and commenting on other people's posts.
It's nice to see all those buys I made a couple of months ago produce such a profit in such a short period of time. Who knows where we'll be at the end of 2018. Any predictions on the price of STEEM December 31, 2018?

That said, I think your excitement is pre-mature. If you are excited now, you will be plain giddy in 6 months....I think all of our accounts are going much higher from here.
STEEM will not remain below $2 forever. Like the move form $1 to $2 happened rther quickly, we might see $2-$4 just as quick.
Perhaps by the end of January at the latest.

Congratulations for that achieved target!!! Steem is going to provide us a lot of happiness in short time frame, this is just the beginning of a bullish trend in our beloved altcoin.

Yeah I need to stack those as fast as possible. Got about $40 in payouts coming this week and roughly 17 SBD which I'll probably trade for bitcoin
