First advert on Facebook for Steemit!
Was browsing Facebook last night on my phone and came across an advert for Steemit. I almost choked on my Tea!
Didn't click on the link because as I understand clicking through costs the advertiser money, I looked at the article anyway via https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@thecryptofiend/why-we-need-decentralised-exchanges
Did you pay for the advert @cryptofiend? Awesome idea whoever is funding this, good job!
I got side tracked soon after and couldn't find the advert again when I came back to my phone.
Yes I paid for it :) This shows they aren't conning me lol!
I have been experimenting for a while it is quite expensive because the click through rate tends to be really low - may be I need to optimise them better.

Comments also make a big difference - I will continue to use it for spreading the word about Steem and cryptocurrencies in general but your help would be greatly appreciated:)
You are a star @thecryptofiend - Facebook is indeed the matrix @stellabelle - we had some success by very targeted campaigns in relevant groups - but in a different area. Will look into this closer next week.
Awesome work @thecryptofiend https://www.facebook.com/thecryptofiend/ Click throughs run up your bill I think, so maybe that's why a lot of Steemians haven't clicked through. Either way it's great exposure because you have to scroll past even with an adblocker :)

As for the FB ads, @thecryptofiend, let me know if you want any tips on optimizing the cost/click through rate. There are little things that can be tweak that make a difference. From the type of wording to (call to action) to testing two different pic against each other, etc. etc.

This is great news! People who advertise their posts on Facebook will surely bring in new people to be on Steemit :) I hope we see more of these ads in the future.

Yes it is. Although I have no clue what the steem is all about. It just looks like a new place to exhibit my writing to me.
Get paid to write and comment. You benefit for your content as opposed to a large corporation.
I understand that I am supposedly getting paid. I do not understand how much or how to access it.
It's a bit of a long process to get it to your bank account (FIAT), but to get it into Bitcoin or another altcoin I recommend this video by @piedpiper
