MyKiss IPA
So it’s been a while since my last post...Sometimes life just creeps up and you get to busy or you make excuses not to take time for things you like to do. So I’m taking some time for myself and I’m going to enjoy a good beer. I decided to grab a MyKiss by BlackRocks Brewery. I’ve posted BlackRocks beers before, but this might be my favorite mostly due to the amazing can.
MyKiss is an American IPA loaded with Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic hops which gives the beer a bright floral and bitter profile.
The aroma is bold and hoppy. You smell the earthy pine aromas of the Citra, Sincoe and Mosaic hops.
The taste is less bitter than the aroma let’s on. There are deep and intense citrus notes that linger with a more subtle bitterness. There is also a nice malt or breadth characteristic that I really enjoyed.
The best part about this beer is how light it feels when in reality it’s a pretty heavy hitter. The flavor is all IPA, but the mouthfeel feel like a heavy Pilsner or lager. As it warmed it definitely got thicker, but it barely had a chance to warm as I was able to slam this is.
If you decide to slam these be carful because the alcohol is pretty hidden. At 7.5% ABV it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser!
