Cooking with Beer - IPA Chicken
I’m a craft beer fanatic so any chance I get to cook with beer I’m not going to mess around. Tonight’s recipe is hickory smoked IPA beer can chicken.
I decided to use Founders All Day IPA as my IPA to add moisture and flavor to the chicken. All Day is brewed with a complex array of malts, grains and hops which complement the hickory smoke.
I smoked the chicken low (250F) and slow (3 hours) with a spice rub (garlic, salt, pepper, chill, cayenne). I paired the chicken with some broccoli and washed it down with some more All Day IPA.
Cheers,

@cryptictruth, ao how dis it go with the beer on the grill? And the chicken! Crunchy to look at.
About 80% of the beer evaporated making the chicken moist and flavorful. The can was a little discolored, but no issues.
Wooowww that’s so interesting!
