Looking back at some of my favorite places - Ep 1 - The Ceahlau Mountains
This is a view that I find myself missing rather often. I grew up not so far from this place and I must have gone up there dozens of times by now. Since I currently live quite far away from the Ceahlau mountains in Romania, going up there isn't as easy as it used to be. This really is one of my favorite places out there and I will be sharing some of the others with you in the coming months.
I took this panorama from just outside the Dochia hut using my old Iphone 4S. About 5 hours after I left the car-park of the Izvoru Muntelui village (you can see it in the image) on the long, scenic route towards Dochia hut, I arrived at this point. I was on my way to the other side of the massive where I spent the night at Fantanele hut. It was a rather pleasant hike through the dark after having a bite to eat and a few cups of mountain herb tea at Dochia hut.

Don't always need a dslr for a great shot!
That's true! I think phones have come a long way. Just got a newer, better iPhone and that one is even better. A good dslr is always nicer to use and delivers better results but the weight of it makes carrying it around not that fun. The best camera is always the one that's on you at all times. The phone does a great job at that by being compact and almost indispensable these days.
