Been on steemit a month now.
Hi Steemians,
I have been on steemit now and realised that I never did a proper introduction so maybe its high time I did one.
Ok here goes.
My name is Darren aka crazybgadventure, I am 38 and British and now live in Bulgaria. I bought a house over here out right and I teach english online, so I thought why bother paying a mortgage for the next twenty years when to me its easier to move to a new country in a house I can afford and live rent and mortgage free.
This is me with very red hair.
Ok I mentioned that I have been on steemit a month now, and I am kind of glad that I am doing this post now and not right at the beginning. I have learned so much already and its been an amazing adventure.
I see steemit right now to me as a kind of savings account that I can use towards my retirement, which is a long way off at the moment although I would like to consider my self as semi retired, as I work part time.
Interests
I love growing my own vegetables and I fit in really well here doing that as most of the other villagers where I live do the same, its nice to eat organically and to know the food that is on my plate is what I have produced myself.
I like you tube videos, I am kind of strange and can watch all sorts of stuff but the main stuff I like to watch is about home steaders and people who have made life changing decisions like what I have done.
Cooking oh my god I love to cook, give me a few ingredients and a kitchen and I will whip up something super, actually I saw a fab bread roll recipe I am about to do.
I have three dogs, Paddy, Max and Phoenix. Paddy and Max came with us from the UK, and Phoenix was a puppy on the streets who we have adopted he is 8 months now and such a wonderful dog.
Its hard to get a picture of all three together unless their sleeping but Max is the Black Dog he is Paddy's brother who is the black and white one. Their patterdale crosses they look nothing alike and have their own personalities. Phoenix is the brown and white one with the one floppy ear (apparently all strays in Bulgaria have a floppy ear.)
#What I want out of steemit.
Well of course the money would be a nice thing, but really I want to read interesting posts I am not one for photography pictures they are nice and all, but I don't know enough about them to make a comment other than their nice.
Give me a meaty wordy pictury article and I will pour all over it and leave you lots of love.

Welcome to the community @Crazybgadventure. It sounds like you have an exceptional life. At least from my perspective. My travelling has been limited to the east coast of the United States. I joined Steemit a little over a month ago. I came because my son @lokii told me it was a better forum than FB for the things I was writing. He was right! I love writing poetry and observations on the world we live in. I enjoy knowing that people are actually reading what I write instead of passing by because it is too 'wordy' to take the time to read. I wish you all the best here on Steemit!!

great to see that you finally introduced yourself, loving the red hair btw, just a shame I'm bald or I might be tempted to go the same way :)

I've heard there are lots of pups who need homes in Bulgaria, that might be a problem if I end up there in any kind of permanent capacity... o_O I'd say welcome but you've been here awhile so... highfive!
