The Steem Sister Show - Episode 20 // What Guys Want to Know About Girls
Welcome to the 20th episode of the Steem Sister Show! Hard to believe that we have already done twenty episodes!! Thank you to everyone who has supported our show thus far - it means so much to us.
Your hosts are @coruscate and @maryjaney. We are two sisters using the Steem blockchain to chat about our life experiences and provide a little entertainment value to the Steemit Community.
Topic of this Episode – What Guys Want to Know About Girls
This might be one of our craziest episodes yet. We did a bunch of research for this episode - asking some of the guys in our lives what they wanted to know!
Warning - this episode has a few moments that are probably not the most appropriate for kids.
Here are the questions covered this week:
Why do girls spend so much money on appearances?
How much do girls sneakily check out guys too? What body part do you check out first?
First question from @ralk98 – What would be the first thing you would do if you could be a man for one day.
Second question from @ralk98 – What is the main topic that girls usually talk about when they hang out?
First question from @cheekah (questions she recently got asked by guys) Why are girls so emotional all the time?
Second question that @cheekah recently got from a guy - Why don’t girls like other girls – why do they prefer male best friends?
Is age an issue when dating? How much older would you date?
Why do girls go to the bathroom together?
After thousands of years, how have women not figured out that we don’t pick up on subtle hints?
What is the Steem Sister Show All About?
We aim to bring more “non-crypto” related content to the Steem Blockchain. Although there is nothing wrong with this kind of content (@corsucate even posts on crypto related material sometimes) – we want to help create a better onboarding experience for new users. We talk a lot about attracting new users to the platform – but if the trending page is filled with crypto posts and flagging wars, they are likely to lose interest quickly.
We hope that by creating content that is more similar to what they are used to seeing on other social media sites – they will feel more excited about being here and creating content of their own!
How Does It Work?
We pick a different topic every episode, and then throw totally random questions about that topic in a hat and go back and forth. We always have a mix of our own questions and some audience questions. Our rule is that we cannot tell each other our answers before filming! So you guys are getting our raw, unfiltered reactions here.
Every episode we announce the next week’s topic so people can submit questions.
Want to win some SBD??
If we chose to answer your question in the next show… we will send you 2 SBD! Now that’s some easy money.
Next Week’s Topic : Higher Education
In next week's episode - we will be chatting all about Higher Education! What our education path has looked like, if we think getting a degree can be helpful, our view on student debt... you name it!
We have both had pretty different experiences when it comes to higher education and so I'm pretty excited to go back and forth on this. If you would like the possibility of winning 2 SBD - please submit your questions! Anything on the topic of higher education is fair game.
Listener questions always end up being the best ones - so thank you in advance to everyone who submits one!
That’s a Wrap!
We hope you enjoyed watching this episode on "What guys want to know about girls". We certainly had a lot of fun both doing research for the show and chatting about thsi topic.
If you have any thoughts or questions that came up from this episode – feel free to shoot them in the comments below.
Your little rant about girls going to the bathroom in packs/traveling in herds was hilarious.
Lol, they are like wolves they always travel in herds. That's why you should never mess up with girls 😂
Haha I’m glad you found that entertaining! Turns out I’M the weirdo for not going to the bathroom with my friends. 😂
Well, I'm really curious about your next video especially because of the topic. I'm new to this series and not entirely sure where to post the questions you're requesting. Hence, I just drop mine here :)
Myself am in Europe and started the equivalent of high-school at the lowest out of three levels. I was never really exceptionally good at any of the subjects taught. I did, however, work my way through high school, went to college, and finished university. Believe it or not, but I'm currently in the middle of my PhD research.
Throughout my whole study career, however, (remember I was coming from the lower end of the educational spectrum), I always felt that I was one of the worse students in sense of grades and understanding of the course material. Especially during the later parts of my study career I always had the feeling I was doing something way above my head. That I wasn't "smart" enough for the job. That I wasn't supposed to be in this study program.
Now I have absolutely no Idea about your study paths, but I was wondering if you yourselves ever had a similar feeling during your studies. Let's say the feeling of being too stupid for the study program you were in and that you shouldn't be in it because of that?
Something I recently came across, that might be interesting in relation to my question, is a thing called imposter syndrome (Wikipedia). Which is basically the "feeling" I described above.
I'm really curious about your experiences and thoughts in relation to my question. It would be great if you can try and answer it in your show :)
Thanks | Michel
Leaving your question here on the post is perfect!! I am definitely familiar with the term imposter syndrome and have battled with that at times too. I love your thoughtful question and look forward to discussing in our next episode! 😊
We may have to turn this into a two-parter because there have been so many good questions on this topic!
Cool, I'm really looking forward to this one! I actually had many questions that I was thinking about dropping. But decided to leave it with just one :)
Btw I really had the "urge" to respond or interact while watching your last video. I know with live streams on YouTube there is the option to have a live chat. I'm not too familiar with dlive but it would be cool to have the option to have a live chat going when you guys would do a live recording.
Anyways, keep up the good work! It's really great!
Considering how advanced technology is and how easy it is to get your business or message out through various outlets like social media- How relevant is higher education in today's society ?
Thanks for the awesome question @homesteadinmama!!
Thanks for checking out our show too. It means a lot to us! ♥️
This is really entertaining! I'm sad I only recently discovered your videos! Love the jingle, you should mix it in more here and there :)
Looking forward to the next one!
Glad you enjoyed our little jingle! Thanks for the feedback on including it more too. 😃
I appreciate you checking out our show!
And I appreciate you guys making this content! This is the kind of stuff that will draw the attention of new users that are not perse crypto-enthusiasts!
Emotions are your superpower, absolutely love that point of view! Being empathetic is a gift when you understand it. Emotions can guide us to what is going on with our thoughts and perceptions about an experience. And they let us connect to others who do feel strongly as well.
Mmm thanks for the thoughtful response my friend! ♥️ I loved all the higher education questions you sent me too!
I loved your idea for a round table video discussion sometime. Or maybe I can interview you on the topic of student loans??? Mmmm that could be fun!
Why am I constantly surprised at your sweetness, my friend??? 😌
Of course, I would love if you interviewed me. The only drawback is that I can literally talk about student loans all day and often do. That being said, I'm totally game whenever you are 😎

LOL it might need to happen!
lmao, this was fun. My favorite part so far "what would it be like to have a dick." Let me tell you...wait I cant think correctly because sex is on my mind. Personally, I don't think men and women can be friends unless both parties involved and have happy relationships they are in separately. I can tell you from experience, no matter how much a guy says he values the friendship and wouldn't want to do anything to jeopardize that friendship, guaranteed, given the opportunity (if he is single, for dirtbags maybe even in a relationship) he would do anything to get physical. My last relationship lasted 5 years and she was 11 years younger then I. No matter how much we both convinced ourselves it was just a number, the gap made a big difference, looking back. The pop culture references are lost. She was very mature for her age, yet phases in life were too separated. You bess be taking that bathroom selfie lol. Hey @marvianev time to step up your posting consistency!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the show!! Interesting that the age gap ended up being a problem for you guys. I’ve dated about 10 years older than me twice now and sometimes can feel it - but most is the time I think it is better. Guys in their 20’s can be so immature. Haha
Yeah I always give Mary a hard time for not posting more. Haha She’s so busy right now though. We’re gonna have to make that bathroom selfie happen soon. lol
With how fast things changes, do you think higher education is more about learning to navigate the society and less about learning what's taught in class?
Ooh great question @oroo!! Thanks for submitting it!
Hey for some reason the YouTube video will play but with out sound and the dtube video won’t play at all, looks like you have good content so will follow, but my input is why you girls so crazy in the mornings 😂
Thanks for the feedback @figgy! YouTube has audio on my end - so maybe check your settings?
Thanks for checking out the Steem Sister Show! ♥️
Yup I’m a bit special 😂 my phone was one silent lol nice episode keep it up 👌✌️
Hahah it happens! Glad you enjoyed the episode!
