1. Anna Chicherova
Anna Chicherova is a Russian high jump athlete who is a winner of gold medal in 2012 London Olympics.
She has been participating in high jump events since 1999 starting with World Youth Championships and her first gold medal in senior category was a gold at World Championships in 2011.
Since then, she has been part of Olympics and World Championships along with Diamond Leagues.
Apart from her gold medals in World Championships in 2011 and Olympics Games in 2012, she has won a silver and 2 bronze medals in World Championships, 2 silver and a bronze medal in World Indoor Championships.
2. Selman Waksman
Selman Waksman was an Ukrainian-American biochemist, microbiologist and inventor who was the inventor of antibiotic drug streptomycin.
He invented Streptomycin while researching the decomposition of organisms which lives in soil.
He was also the inventor of many other antibiotics apart from Streptomycin over 4 decades of his research work.
He was honoured with Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1952.
He was also honoured by French government with Legion of Honour and Japan government honoured with Star of Rising Sun honour.
3. Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels is an American former professional wrestler, actor and television presenter who is considered by many as one of the greatest wrestler of all time.
He is a 5 time Wrestlemania winner, 4 time world championship winner, 2 time Royal Rumble winner.
He is the first WWE grand-slam champion and fourth Triple Crown champion and holds the unique record of winning Royal Rumble while entering as first entrant into the ring.
Since retirement in 2010, he is working as an ambassador of WWE and trainer and has been inducted into WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.
4. Gustav Ludwig Hertz
Gustav Ludwig Hertz was an German physicist who worked on in-elastic electron collision in gases.
He is known for his association with James Franck in working on in-elastic collision of electrons in gases and their research fetched them a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1925.
He was a foreign member of USSR Academy of Sciences, member of German Academy of Sciences, honorary member of Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
5. Lasse Virén
Lasse Virén is a Finnish long distance runner and participant of 1972 and 1976 Olympics winning 4 gold medals.
He won 5000 m and 10000 m long distance running events in 1972 Munich Olympics and successfully won gold medals in both the events and repeated the same feet in the next version of Olympics held in 1976 in Montreal to make it Double Double in 5K and 10K evetns.
Since his retirement in 1980, he moved to politics and held a seat in Finnish Parliament between 1999 to 2007 and again from 2010 to 2011.
He has been inducted into IAAF Hall of Fame in 2014.
