My Actifit Report Card: June 16 2020
Today, @tormus1958 shared a post on Facebook that work on the restoration of Notre Dame in Paris has begun. To most organists, this brings a small slither of joy as it’s one step closer to the organs being functional again. Being able to perform there solo is a bucket list item for many organists and it will only become harder now due to a long waiting list. I’d love to play there, but honestly, there are also many other fine organs around the world which are much more accessible—such as the Sydney Town Hall and it’s much closer to home. Let’s not forget that with the power of Hauptwerk and sample sets, an organist can virtually play some of the most famous organs of the world!
Here I am seated at the famous console of Notre Dame 😂 Special thanks to Marko Sever for providing the perfect photo 😅 I know the @organduo and @laputis were meant to play this year but due to many obvious reasons, this was cancelled.
