My Actifit Report Card: October 24 2019

It was quite warm today with a high of 34 deg and a low of 19 deg. The pollen was pretty bad too and I’ve been sneezing all day plus my eyes are puffy. The antihistamines I’ve been taking don’t seem to be working or perhaps I have a cold—not too sure. Otherwise, a standard work day today spent inside the office with air conditioning. I felt a bit more productive this Thursday as one meeting was cancelled this afternoon, leaving me with some extra time to remain focussed on the task at hand.

After work and dinner, I took @octave4 outside for a walk as I didn’t go to the gym at lunch today. She got into the pram when she got a bit tired. The flies were very annoying though! @octave4 is scared of them as well. We came across a lone kangaroo around the corner from our house. They get startled pretty easily so we were lucky to get this close. There used to be lots more in the open fields near our place but they have developed the area now—scaring all the native wildlife away 🙁 There was even a time when we first moved into our place (we were the only house in the estate at the time) and kangaroos would just bound past our window!

After the walk, @leysa put @octave4 to bed and I had a shower and practised the organ. I got myself organised for an upcoming wedding. Some of the repertoire includes Rutter's The Lord bless you and keep you, Franck's Panis Angelicus, J.S. Bach's Jesu, joy of man's desiring and Widor's Toccata from Symphony No. 5. I also started to bring Bach's F major Toccata, BWV 540, back under my fingers again. I am planning to include this in my November lunchtime recital.
