Balikli Gol, Sanliurfa, Turkey
Legend has it that Abraham was born and grown up in Urfa. The King Nimrod was cruel. Abraham rebelled against him because of idolatry. Meanwhile, the daughter of the king, Zeliha, fell in love with him showing courage and dignity. All these made the King Nimrod highly furious. He ordered his soldiers to capture him. They did so, and the king sentenced Abraham to death.
All of the logs in the city was forcibly collected, and lighting a fire had been banned until the declaration of the next order lifting the ban. A huge pyre was consequently built in the middle of the city with the king's order.
Abraham was pushed into the fire, but... No one could believe what had happened. Miraculously, the flames were turned into water and the logs into fish.
The Pool of Abraham you can see in the photo, and carps that live in it have been regarded as sacred since that time. If one eats any carp that live in the pool, it is believed that he or she will go blind. There is another pool near the pool of Abraham. Its name is the Pool of Ayn Zeliha. It is believed that that pool was formed by Zeliha's tears for Abraham.

What a big mistake, man. You must go there next time and visit Harran, the Archaeology and Mosaic Museum and the Urfa Castle. Added to these is Gobeklitepe, which I couldn't visit unfortunately. Btw, I loved the photos you shared on Steemit. Keep it on.
