5th May - New All Time Highs for Gridcoin!
Gridcoin experiencing stability & uptrends!
The last 24hrs
On the 6th May Gridcoin spiked 20% in marketcap from approx $0.014 to $0.019645, this took us to new All Time Highs!

7 day analysis
- For approx 7 days prior to the 20% spike, there was a period of stable trading between $0.013 and $0.016.
- After the 20% spike, are we going to see another stable floor between $0.017 and $0.02 or are we in for additional spikes in value?
1 month analysis
- So after the last spike in mid April, there was not a large dump but rather a period of stability where a new floor between 0.012 and 0.013 was established (highlighted in purple).
Arbitrage opportunities?
Unlike the last spike there are less blatant arbitrage opportunities; the trading value for Gridcoin across all exchanges seems to be equal however the majority of the trading activity is taking place on Poloniex. With the recent addition of OPEN.GRC support on BTSBOTS we're seeing additional trading pairs on the BTS DEX being made liquid, I recently began trading ALTCAP.SDR against OPEN.GRC!
Past analysis

- Between Oct and Dec 2015, we began advertising to BoincStats and we implemented DPOR which ceased relying on a centralized statistics server for the reward mechanism. We experienced a surge of up to 50 new team members per day.
- March 2016 - Gridcoin got onto the front page of Reddit which brought thousands of new users to the Gridcoin community.
- September 2016 - All science based cryptocurrencies experienced a large surge in trading volume, potentially several whales giving the scientific cryptos some love?
- March 2017 - Gridcoin required an emergency mandatory upgrade, and whilst exchanges/services wallets are in maintenance the trading volume surged. The mandatory upgrade was successful, we're currently awaiting confirmation from exchanges and services that their upgrade has been successful.

I just picked up some grid, such an undervalued project in my eyes :D will see what happens.
It is still mostly based on general market bubbling. Just look at the lending of Polo. 0,5% daily!
But dann I thought about buying a few speculating Doge at 44 three days ago. Just now they are at 84 :(
Holding your coins on a centralized exchange for an extended period of time is risky though, plus there's always the risk that loans default. 0.5% daily is nice, but we've seen some markets surging massively in the last few days higher than 0.5% per day.
No defaulting in case of Polo (not from the loaner) possible.
