Hi @clayboyn, I just joined steemit and I do find it very frustrating to not be able to search using multiple tags. steemit currently only able to search by ONE tag at a time and the 'advance search' is just a measly google custom search. As for busy.org, it can only search by user.

There was a website https://steemmts.herokuapp.com/ built by @cryptofrench somewhile back but its not working anymore. Since dsteem's api is quite accessible, maybe I'll take a stab at it, in creating a new search website. Thanks for your post anyway, it gave me some ideas about what steemians are expecting. =)

I don't know if you want to take over a project that was working amazingly well, but @kasperfred made this offer a while back. I submitted a request to Utopian to find a dev to continue his work and made some suggestions on how it could be done here. Not sure if it will help or not, but I'd love to see some better search functionality for sure.

Hi @clayboyn, looks interesting. At first glance, most probably most of the code are not usable anymore because it used a defunct library. I will let you know when I come up with something =)

Very true. I wish you much success for all of our sake. Thanks for reaching out!

Greetings @clayboyn!
I am happy to announce that the multi tags search application is ready: https://smults-search.appspot.com/

Hi @clayboyn thank you for the contribution.

A similar idea/an idea that fixes the same issue was already suggested on the busy.org GitHub repository here: https://github.com/busyorg/busy/issues/1787

I strongly recommend that you browse through the project's issue tracker to be sure 100% that the idea you are about to share is 100% unique.

I am looking forward to see your next contribution.
Thanks for using utopian.

It's actually not the same thing and I gave visual examples and in depth discussion of why it's not. From the repository you are citing:

An advanced modular search feature would let users specifically NOT search all 3 categories at once, but the specific categories relevant to what they are look for and it would also add the ability to show what tags a selected user most frequently posts under. It's not about splitting search into multiple different lists, it's about refining the specific list that we get based on more detailed search criteria using the existing database/tagging system. Hopefully this clears up any similarities.

Woo! I like that my post came up in your screenshot!

LOL, free promotion for all choogirls. :)
