The Purpose of Mathematics : 4 Main Reasons Why!
Whats up again Steemians and fellow Dtubers! So today we will be discussing about the purpose of Mathematics.
Introduction
Mathematics plays very important part of our lives. If you hated math then you probably shouldn't because everything has it's own purpose. "Mathematics is the science that deals with the logic of shape, quantity and arrangement. Math is all around us, in everything we do." <--- quoted by live science Math was first discovered by the name Pythagoras. Although he was not really the first man who discovered it, but from the ancient civilizations like The Mayans, Egyptians and Greeks. Don't get me wrong, everything I tell you here are from my own learnings.
1. Enhances Analytical Skills
If you hated mathematics, then you should know that it develops our brain while we study and squeeze every numbers and all the details on how we solve the equation. This allows us to enhance our technical skills, and as an example is the patterns from an IQ test. In which you may also see directly and analyze which pattern would be correct.
2. Problem Solving Skills
Haven't you all realized? Mathematics also helps your problem solving skills. As an Engineering student we already had a tough experience in solving equations like Integral Calculus and Differential Equations. In which the solution for most of our problems given by our instructors and professors are wrong. Thus I came to my own conclusion that the purpose of failure will try to motivate you, and this failure will only let you experience it in the equation but not on the real world.
3. Decision Making Skills
Most of us use numbers on buying and selling, like the money inside our wallets. Decision making like which phone should I buy? The bigger ram but an expensive price or the lesser ram with a cheap price then this will pop out of your mind Oh no! I think I'll have to choose the cheaper one because I have kids to feed. Exactly!
4. Differentiating and Integration
We all know without Mathematics we cannot build homes, create smartphones and build factories. One thing you should know about math is it also Differentiates & Integrates. If you are studying an Engineering degree, you will have to face the wrath of Differential Equations and Integral Calculus. Integration play an important part for every Engineers, as an example would be a computer. A computer wouldn't be a computer without a Motherboard and inside the motherboard would be numerous types of very tiny transistors and other integrated circuits
