Blogs word is very common now and many prefer to write blogs on their Websites and try to Monetise it. But really how we can know if the Blogging is powerful tool to expression or not? Without any doubt writing form is base of communication and most effective, but when it comes to expression it depends upon what topic we are touching. Most of the times we read some blogs which inturn push us into the world of Imagination and in many cases no matter how much professional Blogs we read we don't see the connection which born between the reader and the subject. If we see on Steemit, most of the people are creating blogs no matter they are Experienced or not. And i believe that expression is nowhere related with experience, it's a natural tool which describe itself either in writing form or visual form. In my opinion whenever we read something it process like Brainstorming way and it opens the gates for new knowledge and experiences because while reading we are consuming particular emotions and experiences.

When it comes to Vlogs then the percentage of Vloggers are rapidly increasing due to advancement in Technology and increase of Mobile Handsets because whoever have the camera on their mobile handsets they are recording their stories and daily lives sharing it as Vlogs. So vlogs are more advanced tool of expressions because through the Visual Tool we are reflecting our Emotional expressions and these are visual expressions so viewers can connect with in depth way. Specially as time passing rapidly many individuals and independent news reporters are budding and by that i mean, before for every incident media has to deep dive into the ground field and then they were sharing the news with the world but now it's not like that, now public issues and incidents can be captured and can be broadcasted online and individuals and communities stands for the cause. So there is no question that video form and vlogs are far more effectful than anything.

Conclusion

No matter what, Writing form is base of everything and after that anything else. And vlogs are Revolution and in a way it's like Place Travelling and by that i mean, sitting at one place we are experiencing and understanding other's world and their stories of experiences and we have to wait and see what type of communication tools and ways will hold by future. But one thing is for sure and that is, every old pattern will become history and something new will replace old patterns.

In my opinion, every time we read something, it is processed as a way of brainstorming and opens the doors to new knowledge and experiences because when we read we are consuming particular emotions and experiences.

I share with you this idea @chireerocks, the writing must absorb the reader, take him to interpret the emotions of the writer, that is why the writing must be inspiring and full of energy.

Whatever happens, the form of writing is the basis of everything and after all that. And the vlogs are Revolution and, in a way, it's like Traveling through a place and with that I mean, sitting in one place, we're experiencing and understanding the world of others and their experiences stories, and we have to wait and see what Type of communication tools and forms will keep.

Undoubtedly a story captured through a video camera is very attractive and reveals firsthand events and history, but writing will continue to be a means of communication that will captivate the audience.

Great article brother, thanks for sharing.

Hey, @chireerocks.

Technology has definitely come a long way, especially with the advent of the smartphone and its ability to record video. There have been so many advances in the last ten years or so that vlogging is not only an option, it's become the preference for many.

Unfortunately, too much of what I see is just someone talking. There's some forethought, but no major outlining. They just start and stop the recording as needed. And sometimes the thoughts are coherent, and sometimes they're not.

So, just like blogging, a person needs some skills to vlog. Cadence, speech patterns, word choice, getting to the point, facial expression and posture, tone—all of that needs to be in play and working for a vlog to shine. Background, graphics, some editing, sound and video quality, all matter. It should take a lot more time to do a proper blog than it does just a blog, because you're actually, planning, scripting, shooting, editing and then uploading.

So, I think there are certain messages that are easier to convey in a vlog, but will the net effect of the response be worth the effort. For some it will. For many, it won't.

I have been thinking about doing something on Dtube, but it's a process, it's going to take time to come up with something worthwhile, and I still should do some writing to flesh out what's said.

@glenalbrethsen, Without any doubt you are alingned with valid and important points, no matter what we do at first we should have framework, tools and script of ideas to implement effective results. My good wishes are with you and hope that your work will shine. Stay blessed.

Dear @chireerocks.

It's me again ...

Also vloging is not the way to encourage for discussion. If our goal is to engage with audience then blogging (i hate this word) is a way. Wouldn't you agree?

Piotr

Everyone will not going to Vlog but engagement through text form is more important and it's base. And to maximum levels we are doing the same means, Text Engagement. Blogging is not related to engagement, Blog = Product or Niche and Use Case = Engagement. 🙂👍

Dear @chireerocks

Excellent comment.

There have been so many advances in the last ten years or so that vlogging is not only an option, it's become the preference for many.

I just read somewhere yesterday that "voice search" is becoming more and more popular and that would benefit vlog creators.

Also vloging is not the way to encourage for discussion. If our goal is to engage with audience then blogging (i hate this word) is a way. Wouldn't you agree?

Dtube is so very slow. I already am ignoring it and whoever I spoke with is ignoring it too for very same reason. PErsonally I would consider using dtube a waste of time. But that's just my own small oponion.

Piotr

Hey, @crypto.piotr.

re: engaging

I'd say yes, though there could be plenty more interaction on a vlog if people chose do it. We don't have data, but I'd be interested to know just how many are watching the videos on Dtube, and how much of the video they're actually seeing. People who tend write about their video seem to get more engagement, which, though probably circumstantial, does support your statement.

re: Dtube is slow

I keep reading about how hard it is to develop dApps because of the decentralized nature of it. Well, if it's too hard, then we're relying way too much on people showing up here just for the rewards, because the user experience isn't going to be up to par, and people leave for that reason just as much as any other.

So, it needs to be figured out, if that's truly the case. I'm not a developer, so I can't cast judgment, but sometimes I wonder about the abilities of some of these developers, especially if they don't have any backing going on, which seems to be most developers on STEEM.

Dear @glenalbrethsen

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Appreciate it a lot. Awesome comment :)

Have a great weekend ahead,
Piotr

Hi! @chireerocks.

It is interesting to see that you have caused a discussion about both expression tools. However, I would say that I learn more from a video than from something written, for example, how to cook rice, how to disassemble a laptop, how to program in a modern programming language, how a vehicle works and so on. I love using YouTube to learn, in fact here they call it "the University of the poor". The images in movements are much more appreciated than thousands of words.

Tutorials will always be better received in videos than in written form.

But this is also the other point of view

It's like when you compare a movie with a book. The film with its effects will help to quickly understand the whole story (depending on the catharsis of the actors, of course). However, introducing yourself into a book, more details are detailed that will not be seen in the movies. You have to use your imagination and feels all the things the writer makes you feel.

I guess it's the same thing that happened many years ago with radio and television. People lived listening to the radio, there were storytellers who told stories and novels. People had to use their imagination to see in their minds what they expressed on the radio, that awakened a capacity in the human being that was asleep. But with the appearance of TV, it was no longer necessary to imagine, you could see and hear everything. So that capacity to imagine that it had been born with the radio was lost.

Which one is better? For me, it will depend on the material that you want to transmit, or who you want to reach.

I think I overdid it!

Keep in touch

@jadams2k18, Yes, your points are to the point and valid but no matter how much vlogging we do or on visual effects we work, in the form of basic steps we have to write down some pin points which is important related to our vlogging product or any other form of visual. So writing is the base of expression and Vlog and visual effect is modernised and expanded version. Thank you so much for your detailed response. Stay blessed.

Dear @chireerocks

Friend, after all I think that the conclusion to all this is the great advances in information technology, to the end that is all pure information that travels and must reach a determined site or a certain Target is Blog or Vlog.

As they say there, the end justifies the means.

Yes, and only the base justifies at the end of the day. Thank you so much for your response.

Dear @chireerocks

Excellent choice of topic. I just read somewhere yesterday that "voice search" is becoming more and more popular and that would benefit vlog creators.

But at the same time I believe that those who value their time will stick to reading instead of listening. Within 1h reading posts I can absorb as much knowledge as 2-3h watching / listening videos will provide me with. Difference is huge.

Real question for many is: how to monetize your reach. That's where people seem to have big problem.

Great piece of work buddy. Hope you don't mind that I will share it with few friends.

ps.
Would you perhaps consider using "enter" from time to time? To separate blocks of texts? It would make it much easier to read.

yours
Piotr

Thank you so much for your response and definitely you can share it.

And also thank you for sharing some advices too. Will try to change it if it's inspire me while writing. Stay blessed brother.

It is believed that writing was invented in Mesopotamia (now Iraq) 6000 years ago, in 4000 Before Christ.

This gives us a clear idea of the need of man to leave a trace in the time of his thoughts, feelings and in general of his culture.

With the blog and vlog, we have only modernized this form of expression so necessary for LIFE.

Thanks or sharing dear @chireerocks.

In my opinion, nothing is necessary, but we force things to become necessary. There would be no poverty if Humanity would not deceived themselves and that is, most of the human beings are dominating the resources which is gave by the mother nature and others are facing the scarescity and the deepest truth is We don't hold any ownership on this earth. So we human beings force the Economy of Necessary. Thank you so much for your kind response. Stay blessed.

Deep thoughts.

Yes. Thank you brother.

I agree with you on the take of "Blogging" as its indeed where it all starts from. With blogging there is more detailed expression of an individual's emotions and ideas. Vlogging comes in later on as a more advanced way of sharing information though it has limits as some one is not availed with enough time to fully express his emotions and ideas but with more advancement in technology it is becoming a very effective way of communication.

No matter where we reach but the written form will stay as base. In a Vlog no matter how much resources we have, we think about the limitation but in case of writing there is no limitation.
