What was your last travel destination?
20220701_165450.jpg

My last travel destination was at our family house when we had the opportunity to go into farming and make it our future foods by ourselves.

I traveled to Obigbo which is the village you get before you reach Port road. I could say that it's slightly located in Aba but with map direction, it has quite a little km distance to reach River state.

On my way to our family main house at obigbo

I traveled alone because all other of my siblings came there in the mid week days and had gone back but I came around during weekends. I did so because of work, so I could get back before Monday. I came around by Saturday afternoon and went back Monday early morning to ensure that I the beat traffic and teach in time.

What fun activities did you engage in?

I love to walk around and admire nature and every God's creations. Waking up one early morning, I brushed my teeth and began wandering around to that particular community of "Asa muohi". I noticed in that community, so many trees and bushes are around there. It was quite scary with the creeping noise from the inside bush but I kept moving hence I was enjoying the cool breeze anyway!.

Here are some trees and bushes around my area.

I visited our neighbor who is 20km away from us. This woman is a very powerful tool in the hands of God and she has 11( eleven) surving children, both the married ones and the little ones. But then, she doesn't seem to have delivered Upto that maximum number of kids.

She plays with her dogs just after feeding them. Two out of the three dogs were friendly and the duck too weren't exempted. They had the freedom to walk around the compound, pick from the bush and feed on its meal when hungry.

Did you mix with the local culture? If yes, please explain your experience
20220701_165450.jpg

I did practice what we like most which is farming. Although i didn't take pictures from our main farmland but I took the one if our garden (Taking my phone to that area was risky). In our garden, I got myself busy with transplanting waterleaf and cutting out the grown ones with Flowers to aid more growth to it. After cutting out the waterleaf for use it grows back in four days time and then bigger by day.

How was the food?
20220701_165450.jpg

Delicacies were made, I ate a lot and more of our local food which is the vegetable soup and eba palm fronds soups with local rice and many other food like noodles prepared with saint leaf and jollof rice.

Too much of Happiness made me I wasn't able to snap or even eat to my satisfaction but I was okay hence it wasn't lack of food that cursed it but the joy I gained from admiring that community.

Did you do any shopping?
20220701_165450.jpg

I didn't shop because everything we needed was gotten from inside town. This gs are quite costly there, so? Some of the stuffs were made available 2days before we went on the trip.

It's a village so? It's more of petty business that is located there, nothing much is found there. Had it been our stuffs finished before I could go? I would have gone to their supermarket and gather few things.

The lessons you learned while traveling in that area
20220701_165450.jpg

I learnt that few lessons while traveling in that area, and here are they;

  • Never medell in one's matter, otherwise they will leave the person they are having issues with then face you.

  • I learnt to appreciate the nature of that community and it looks neat and clean.

  • I learnt how to pet dogs mot to bite and also let animals have their freedom.

Thank you all for joining me today in my travel participation contest of this week. I do love to see yours too!.

I warmly invite @pandora2020 @yourloveguru and @estem to join this contest.
