So, here is me........I guess being me...... Uncertainty or maybe even doubt could have easily been my middle name(s). Starting and then restarting this post could be in excess of maybe 10 times! Reading other posts and seeing other people's writing styles, interests or passions (even the "cleverness" of others thoughts) has made me doubt whether I could or should even contemplate giving this a fair go.

I come from a very busy and crazy corporate hectic lifestyle to one of hoping to become a really successful farmer'girl' with a much simpler lifestyle and a 'lesser' drive to chase money to feel remotely validated in existing.

Mother of 2 biological children and 5 step children with a husband that belongs somewhere in the mix of actually having 8 and not 7 children is challenging enough to keep all my sanity marbles in one 'cage'. Yet I believe I am at least still bordering on that sane ledge (thankfully).

I am definitely one of 'those' people (ok WOMAN) that turn off the radio completely to be able to hear the GPS talking me through some directions - because face it many of us (yes woman) truly believe that we can hear the instructions way way better when there is supposed silence - right?

I come from a very humble, very Afrikaans background and as good as what the corporate environment was to me at the time, I needed to simplify my life. I come from the certainty of getting a paycheck every month, still managing to stress about whether I would have enough money to survive, to trying out my hand at farming (along with my husband and father) and STILL stressing about whether we will survive. So I figured it's way more worth it for me to rather be HAPPY and stress in a relaxed environment than being unhappy and still stressing in a cut throat environment.

I loved reading the posts here and felt comfortable enough to give this a bash regardless of how unsure I feel about my ability. Something I realized about the corporate world is that in reality they actually often strip so many of us from believing in ourselves and our abilities to being who and what they need us to be.

My sincere hope is that I can be an involved mother/wife/daughter in conjunction with being anything other than the supposed labelled stepmother............ This all goes hand in hand with being a psychologist/nurse/vet to the family animals whom I dearly love too........ Hopefully I can call myself jack of all trades but at least I hope to be master of some as well.

I see this as a platform where I can learn so much from others and really hoping that others could possibly learn from me too.
