Are you BROKE??

in #money8 years ago (edited)

A lot of us have been in, or still in this stage in terms of our finances. Being in this state is something no one would like to feel. I'm sure each one of us have been in this position one time or another. And if you are still broke, like I do then, Congratulations to us! I believe that being broke is just a state of mind, it will become a reality only if we allow it to.

One of the person, that encourages me to become an entrepreneur is Robert Kiyosaki, the author of the best selling book "Rich dad, Poor dad". In his book, he told the time, that he and his wife, were homeless. At times they were lucky to have friends ask them to stay in their house, most of the time they just lived in their car. I believe both Robert and his wife were graduate and can easily look for work, but intend not to. His main reason is, if he begins to work he will become comfortable again with earning money and that he might forgotten about his dream of putting up a business and making it big. Lo and Behold! In less than five years after being homeless, he considered himself a multi-millionaire. Financially Free until the rest of their lives.

What Am I trying to drive at? Sometimes, being broke or being in negative situation can do good things for us only if we look closer in to it. When I'm at a bad situation, I always say a mantra in my mind " What was meant for my harm, God will use it to my advantage". Apparently, life happens, but little did we know that it is a set-up for a greater come back. However, it's not going to happen just like that without us fueling the fire. We might be broke, homeless, etc, but we have the power to still choose our destiny. We still have the capacity to re-write our lives. If we are just going to focus on the current situation and feel sorry for our self, then being broke might become our destiny. Likewise, if the hurt and the pain that we feel, fuels our desire to change our destiny, then being broke has turned into our advantage.

In parting, I would like to show you an in-depth and concise example I watched from Peng Joon . The video gives us a different perspective regarding being broke. Hope you can watch it and I wish you were inspired by this post.
