The truth is, there is no real community support but just a self made circle jerk at the top. I won't mention names but we all know who they are.

Probably a lot of Truth to what you say. Of course there are smaller fish who do try to have Community support, imho
Yes I agree there are smaller accounts doing good and being really considerate of the community and I hope that they become bigger over time. There will always be chancers and scammers on here that we will never elimiate but as long as the majority are good people who share a common vision for the growth of this project it will work out. LOL who knew a simple meme would turn into such serious discussion

Too true, it's a club and we're not a part of it. I commented on something wolf posted about offering 1$ upvotes for posting us "favoriting" on Coinbase and sure enough, I got nothing. I was even in the group of first 50 or whatever the rules were. Unfortunate how they don't really care.
Lol not at all. Its pretty much an elitist boys club with the smallest amount of trickle down, but mostly through favouritism getting in with the right crowd. I realised pretty early on I don't fit the criteria for what whales upvote like the most of us so yeah the rest of us will have to build up our own steem slowly and rely on each other to build a steemit middle class
Ya, let's create our own that's much less exclusive. I mean hell, looking at all the different stuff I comment on and follow I think that's a pretty unique section of the platform.
Oh reminds me once that dude you mentioned ran a competition and the instructions were pretty vague but all entries were supposed to get an upvote and then into a draw for a prize and we all entered and then after a week his like nope no one followed the instructions I changed my mind lets all just forget about it lol it really was just so stupid!
Thats kinda what i'm slowly trying to do by just meeting people who don't just drink the koolaid and kinda see things for what they are. Hopefully once we're all big enough we can attract more people and build our own little community. thats the dream brother
