Feel A Bit Like The Walking Wounded
Hey My J's,
It's me back again for your daily dose of random thoughts for the day but before I do I know everyone is pretty hyped about the price of Bitcoin running up to 5K, apparently according to this article the spike was set in motion by a $100 000 000 purchase in 7000 BTC incrimenets using various exchanges. Could this just be a whale pump? Encouraging some consumer faith and as confidence returns, they crash the market with a major sell-off?
I don't know but I'll keep adding to my BTC stacks and sell when im ready dammit, I know my price point and im not settling for any less. You either sell a loser or HODL long enough to never give a fuck again.
Also I managed to hit a rep of 64, yeaaaaahhh me, meaningless vanity metric. 5 more to go until I can 69 online, that's the dream, that's the goal! Ste69emit
So where was I?
But um, back to the lecture at hand, Perfection is perfected so I'ma let 'em understand
From a young G's perspective, And before me dig out a bitch I have to find a contraceptive. Yep, I never miss a chance to inject a Snoop Dogg reference in everything I do, life is all about the small pleasures and this is one of mine.
Ah yes, about my battle scars. So in between the chaos caused by load shedding, I still try to make it to the football field for training and matches and since you never know when your next game will be, when the lights will be on, when the traffic won't be crazy, when everyone can make it to play you kind of make sure you put your all in, even if I'm still nowhere near fit.
Preseason is probably the thing I hate the most about football, I can't stand it. I've never been the stamina player the one that gets up and down the pitch, I'm always selective In what I do and try to remain economical with my movement and actions.
I wasn't always like that but 5 knee injuries later, 3 of them pretty serious ones I've had to adapt my game over the years. Preseason is like getting off drugs your body is literally in shock and while my normal aches and pains are to be expected, I've also picked up a chipped tooth and damanged ligaments in my toe no less.
Will need to take it easy for a bit, but I doubt I will. I guess you could say I ask for it. But you never know when your last game will be so I try to enjoy it as I can get it.
I'm not here for a long time, I'm here for a good time
Also, if you ever wanted to know what South African football is like, here's a little taste!
Have your say
So how do you handle injuries? Do you partake in any sort of sport? Have you had to give up a sport because of injury?
Holla at me in the comments! All my commenters I will now refer to as Jessie. Jessie is a good friend of mine, but Jessies got a girl and I want to make her mine.
So have at it my Jessies! If you don't have something to comment, simply comment "I am a Jessie"

I used to be a baller of all sorts but now I’m old, beer bellied, dope lunged and too stupid to not go 💯 so I’m sitting here thinking about hitting the courts and fucking myself up. I’m perfectly capable of hurting myself brushing my teeth at this stage of my too sedentary life so maybe I’ll just walk to go buy some 🍻 and leave the action to the insured and able to responsibly use meds🤡

We all have a very limited time be bawl out and we should make the most of it because you never now when it will end. Some will have a shorter career to speak than others.
I imagine you enjoyed your time as a player and you look back on it fondly regardless of the body bashing you had to take and have to live with now.
Lol stay safe and have a cold one on me
I had 6 Guinness 🍻 you're absolutely correct I loved my days of body bashing and can't imagine having lived life without those competitive glory days.
I'm 37 and should try and squeeze out a few more years of action while I still can.
Kick some ass out on the pitch and take care..
