WHERE WILL I START FROM NOW??

Azeez and seun have been in the house all day doing nothing other than sleeping, waking up, look at each other, talk a little and then repeat the cycle. There's no light anywhere, which made them inactive. Inactive in the sense that, they could literally do nothing without a powered phone. For the past 3 days, they've been moving from shop to shop looking for where to charge.

"I'm tired abeg!!" azeez said. "Today, I'll just rest, it's not by force to charge". Seun needed his phone on but he was also tired moving around, looking for where to charge. "What kind of country is this??" Seun asked rhetorically. "No light, bad roads, poor educational system, poor economic situation, Why did God made me a Nigerian sef?" They were both talking about the sad situation they were facing before Andrew came in. "Oboy, so you guys just want to lie on the bed all day Abi?, naso una won take make money?? Andrew said indignantly.(speaking in pidgin english). "Come, let's go and charge at a bar at the end of the street, the generator is on there, at least we can Steem with it this evening" Andrew continued.

After the mutterings made by azeez and seun, they joined Andrew and they all headed straight to the bar. On getting to the bar, they respectfully connected their phone at a corner in the bar so as to avoid any form of embarrassment because they didn't have enough money to get themselves drinks as every other person in the bar. "This kind life sef, God help us oo" seun prayed. "Amen" azeez said silently.

"Ehm, guys, i'd have to leave you guys with my phone here, Sandra just called me to her place to come eat. Pls let me go before I die of hunger" Seun told his friends. "Ensure, you bring something back oo, if you come empty handed ehn, just know that you'd sleep outside" Andrew said playfully, but was serious with his request because he too, haven't eaten well for some time now.

"Andrew, let me go and have my bathe. I feel too dirty" azeez told Andrew. "Please, don't take your eyes off the phones oo. You know how I suffered to get mine, If anything should happen to it, my own has finished. "Don't worry, they are safe with me. Just make sure you come back fast" Andrew replied. A few minutes later, Andrew was alone to himself, he felt bored so he picked his phone and began playing candy crush.

Coincidentally, Seun and Azeez met at the front of the bar at the same time. Seun's lips stretched from ear to ear. The spaghetti and fish he just ate kept his spirit elated. Sandra also gave him some to take back home for the guys.They shook each other and walked down to meet Andrew at their "corner".

They met Andrew pacing about the place looking restless. "How far? What's wrong with you?" Azeez asked Andrew. Before Andrew could say anything, Seun shouted from the "corner" "Andrew!! Where are the phones na?, have you unplugged them already?" Andrew began murmuring to himself. "Oboy, Answer me na!" Seun demanded. "Ehm, ehm, I don't what happened o, I was just here with the phones oo, I didn't know how it happened but when I said i should drop my phone so it could charge faster, I didn't see your phones again. I swear, I don't know how it happened" Andrew said, his voice shaking as spoke.

"Chai!!! I'm dead!!!" Azeez cried. "what nonsense are you telling me?" Seun asked angrily. "What do you mean you didn't see our phones again?? Something must be wrong with your head" he continued. Immediately he snapped Andrew's phone from him saying "you better start looking for my phone now now now". Andrew began pleading seriously. He had no hope of getting another phone for the time being not to talk of getting a phone for any of his friends. He begged and begged but Seun answered him not. At this point, Azeez knew there was no hope for him. He recently acquired the phone that was stolen after so many months of being without a phone. The pain in his chest grew Intense as time passed by. The question that kept ringing In his head was "WHERE WILL I START FROM NOW?".
