Skills demanded in a Coach
It is important that we understand training as a process capable of providing us with a success that depends on various factors and variables, among these most common factors is to have a methodology whose steps to follow contain discipline and effort to achieve the objectives set. However, as trainers we cannot be satisfied with simply following a series of procedures, but we must also know how to optimize the use of tools and resources we can count on.
Perhaps there are more influential variables in the coach's success, but as long as we can follow a training application methodology and optimize the use of the resources we have, we will surely be being effective and efficient coaches in the achievement of the objectives.
It is important that in this understanding we know that the resources to which I refer in this training process are those related to the aptitudes and attitudes that the coach possesses to be able to face these challenges at the same time that the coach can develop his work as a professional.
The attitude that the coach can implement and develop is related to his personality, that is to say, the way in which he can act in a certain situation, being able to measure also the temperament that he can develop as he grows as a professional.
The aptitude of the trainer in this case is related to the trainer's ability to acquire and develop skills to be the best he/she can be in the training process.
Conclusion
The coach is the person trained to teach and lead a group of people to achieve a certain goal, for this and many reasons there must be a demand for the most desired attitudes and aptitudes of a coach, however this demand should not be generated or built outside a framework of consultation with the people being trained, since these people are the ones who really know what they would really like to get from a coach based on the capabilities of the aptitude and attitude that the coach should possess.

This made me remember the concept and relationship between a mentor and a mentee. One of the major criteria in selecting a mentor is to ensure that the mentor is qualified and best in his/her field of specialization because the mentee follows the foot path of his/her mentor. The same applies to the trainer in this type of of scenario.

I think a coach should be prepared to help one or more people to develop as much as possible. They are a kind of guide, unlike a teacher. They may not be good at a sport discipline, but they can guide an athlete to be the best.
