Family Photo Album - Aunt Blarbra
I have good memories of Aunt Blarbra oozing by the brood chambers and always bringing treats for us little molts. Flame roasted glargnuts, chocolate coated acid drops, maybe even deep fried adrenal glands if we were lucky! Sadly she has passed on to the great petri dish in the sky now but I just found these holocaptures and thought I would share them.
Like all members of my species, Aunt Blarbra wore her emotions on her pseudopods... literally. Our surface colors and even internal arrangement of organelles are affected by our moods. Some more shades o' Blarbra:
Alien Process
Aunt Blarbra started out as water drop macro photography by my human friend @markangeltrueman. He is a good sort as far as you fleshbag types go. I used images from this post to create the base image (images used with permision). You should also check out his most recent (and last for a while pending a move and setting up a new studio) water drop photography post. Both of these posts are still in payout so give him some love!

Actually this may be cooler than my manipulated images :) I was particularly pleased with how I got the central water drop to show through the front pseudopod to give it that transparent effect.

This sort of shot would be far easier to set up in one of your local zero-g environments i'm sure. I do love the transparency work in the initial image. Quality stuff.

I like the original collage base image more, because everything looks so clear and clean. The colours just pop off nicely, though obviously as alien gets old too, I understand that Aunt Blarbra can't keep her beauty forever.
Yeah I have to agree - usually I like my alien mutations better but in this case the original thing already is alien AF :)
