You are on point and on fire. Amazing that it took less than 5 minutes to expose the ugly truth of our biggest issues. Now lets get the people to snap and realize theyve had enough right? You rock! Keep up the good work.
Apathy is very excusable when the two main parties push for the same policies and corporations own your government. Also, water fluoridation is safe. Also, taxation is just part of the social contract, pretty common sense.
Apathy is the only reason that organized crime syndicates can function as "government"... because people just allow themselves to be treated like slaves. As soon as the humans stand up and take responsibility for their lives, it all crumbles.
Why is the same hydrofluorosilicic acid considered a hazardous waste product by the EPA? Corporations are fined heavily for allowing it to escape into groundwater or the air... Also, even if it was safe, informed consent would still make massive-scale dosing of the populace both illegal and immoral.
Where is that contract? When are people given the choice whether or not to sign it? Extortion is extortion, no matter the excuses used for it.
We largely are not going to agree but here's what I think:
Yeah, I basically agree on the apathy thing, I don't condone apathy. But it's very easy to understand and excuse, when you are working two jobs to make ends meet and then democracy offers you a vote between turd sandwich and and giant douche... you are not going to be in the grassroots frontlines when you barely have the resources to feed your family and power structures keep punching you down.
Fluoridation. It's a matter of concentration, water or sugar can also be deadly. All the science (for example: http://ajph.aphapublications.org/doi/10.2105/AJPH.2013.301857) points to the levels of fluoridation used by governments to be innocuous to the environment and to have mild health benefits (caries). The Harvard study linked by you refers to a study using concentrations much higher than those actually used by governments. In fact, said Harvard meta-analysis was of regions with naturally occurring high-fluor groundwater, not government-mandated water fluoridation.
Social contract. Well, as an anarchist I believe any system of power and coercion that can't justify itself should be dismantled and replaced. You are not gonna convince me that the social contract cannot be easily justified. You don't sign off to anything in a society. Society has norms and also laws. You are born into it and by the time you reach age of consent you don't need to sign anything, your agreement is implicit. So you can either decide to accept them, you can challenge them or you can leave. Most of us here live in modern liberal democracies which gives us unprecedented power to change things. Neoliberalism has been chipping away at the institutions that allow the governed to challenge the governing class for decades now, but we still have unprecedented power in historical terms.
