Food Diary #135 | Cow's trotter

Welcome to my Steemit Food Diary, I might not do this diary in daily but I still update it regularly. If you read my previous Food Diary, I was complaining about the lack of opportunity to get a warm fresh food, I mean food that was not frozen one or some ultra processed food.

And this time I manage to get a Cow's Trotter from some Nasi Padang outlet. I know it doesn't look like a trotter, because when I got there, most of the food was sold out. I ordered a cow's trotter with some jackfruits stew and a green chili paste. I asked the server to pour that coconut milk paste, because I was a bit upset I did not have any other option to order.

This was what I saw that time. Everything almost sold out, only some fritters and side dishes that I did not like. It doesn't mean that I dislike fried fishes, fried egg, or fried chicken, I could order them anytime anyday from any food stall, so when I came to that Nasi Padang Outlet, I was expecting to get some dishes known from Padang cuisine.

They only had that cow's trotter, so that's why I ordered it. Then they said they ran out of cassava leaves. No potato fritters and no tempeh too. It was quite disappointing but I still enjoyed my time there because I did not have to take some fast food dish that day.

What do you think? was my decision to order that last trotter good enough or I should just walked out and got my regular fast food burger or hotdogs?
