LOL! I'm glad you didn't name this one "Carol." My best friend Monica would never leave the house without makeup, not even when the kids were mere toddlers - she had to "put on her face" and wouldn't even answer the door if she hadn't. And yet, she is beautiful, and to me, she looks good with our without make-up. (Me, I'd slap on some eyeliner and call it a day.) I like your insight that children were quicker to see what adults didn't expect to see so they didn't. ;)
Thank you! I have had friends like that, too, but even though I think I definitely look better with makeup, I just don't have the ambition to do it 99% of the time. It probably doesn't help that I'm married to a man who truly doesn't get makeup or why anyone would bother. But then again, I wasn't great at keeping up with all the maintenance type stuff even back when I was single and young!
