Seeing Through the Mud of Tokens and Tribes

My latest tribe and token update has lots of information today. We have so much action in this area and there seems to be more happening every day.

All of us who use the tags have many tokens in our wallets now. So where do we go from here, and which of the tribes should we get more involved with?

Here are some starting points for your research, thought and actions:

First off, how can you tell if you are a Minnow, Dolphin, Orca, or Whale in any of the tribes? Find out for many of them of this in this awesome post (past payout) by @holger80:

https://steempeak.com/tribe/@holger80/what-is-the-amount-of-staked-tokens-to-became-a-minnow-dolphin-orca-or-whale-for-a-scot-tribe-2019-09-11

The tokens @holger80 analyzed are:
PAL
NEOXAG
CCC
SPORTS
GG
LEO
INT
LIFESTYLE
STEM
PHOTO
ZZAN
MARLIANS
JAHM
SPACO
SPT
SCT
WEED

PORN

MOT
ASS
UFM
LASSECASH
TMT

SAGO
NOBEL

BUILD

Now @dalz has a fresh post from four days ago with price charts for some of the tokens.

https://steempeak.com/charts/@dalz/steem-engine-tokens-price-charts

His post analyzes:

  • PAL
  • SCT
  • LEO
  • DEC
  • SPORTS
  • CCC
  • NEOXAG
  • SPT
  • GG
  • ACTNEARN

I hope this becomes an ongoing report with even more tokens shown.

@livinguktaiwan wonders if using tribe tags is worth it on this post:

https://steempeak.com/steem-engine/@livinguktaiwan/is-it-worth-adding-the-tribe-tags-to-posts

The answer is Yes!

How many tags should you use?

Well our friends at steemit and hivemind are only using 5 tags still. Until they get their act together, only the first 5 tags “count” and are seen on places that use steemit/hivemind technology for their front end.

This is way over my technical head and I do not follow what steemit does because it annoys me and throws me off me game. I stops using that dApp about a year ago and do not see myself returning.

Hopefully one day steemit/hivemind will catch up to everyone else. Until then – the first five tags are most important. The others might be caught by manual curators. I would love to see a post by someone smart about this topic.

Where ever you post, you can later edit with steempeak to get to 10 tags or busy to get to 12. People who manually curate MIGHT see you. I am not really sure now.

The tribes I am most involved with are those I can talk about. These are:

marlians

This tribe from Our Boy Terry @surpassinggoogle has a lot of action, usage and excitement. Terry needs more admin help, and hopefully will get it soon. He just did another airdrop to the biggest players in this group.

@tesaganewton has a post about buying and staking Marlians here:

https://steempeak.com/marlians/@tesaganewton/i-bought-and-staked-1000-marlians-again

And @metzli is excited to meet her stake goal for the Marlians tribe:

neoxian

Neoxian City in the most organized of the places I post now. @neoxian started this one and has a lot of support. They are having daily meetings and publishing reports. Here is the most recent:

https://steempeak.com/neoxian/@neoxiancity/neoxian-city-news-paper-highlights-9-22-2019

They also run contests I enter and the tokens flow in.

creativecoin

Creative coin is working on standards and now has a bot that will come to your post if you use the tag on a post that is @notcreative. Great idea, since it’s hard to know which tag to use these days.

photography

I do a lot of photo posts on two of my blogs (not this one). Using the photography tag is getting me a lot of tokens from this tribe.

bilpcoin

I think this tribe is for music and know of them because they are using steem-bounty.com and putting bounties on their posts. This is a great idea for any tribe looking for traction and attention on STEEM. It does not take much of a bounty payout to get people to take a look at and interact with your post.

I do not do anything with video, crypto, science, or sports to name a few topics that are hot on STEEM too.

In conclusion:

That’s it for this update and I will keep doing them. Since the fork and NewSTEEM have happened, I see a lot more activity in the tribes. From what I can tell, this will accelerate further as time goes on.

NOTE: I have limited wifi until Sept 28, 2019 and so will not be able to interact a lot until then. Missing my STEEM yime for sure!

Congratulations! Your post has been selected as a daily Steemit truffle! It is listed on rank 12 of all contributions awarded today. You can find the TOP DAILY TRUFFLE PICKS HERE.

I upvoted your contribution because to my mind your post is at least 4 SBD worth and should receive 242 votes. It's now up to the lovely Steemit community to make this come true.

People who manually curate MIGHT see you. I am not really sure now.

You'd be surprised. I'm one of those who sometimes manually curates each tribe using their own frontend. The tribes I follow are lifestyle, steemleo, and sportstalk.

Thank you so much for your support and the comment, @johnhtims.life. I am so happy to see this and you really motivate me to keep going! I have bad wifi right now, and I am very glad I did not miss this.
